Tom was so adorable in “Tinker Tenor Doctor Spy”! All of his little gestures and facial distortions were very entertaining. I especially liked when he was seated at the briefing room table and he gave a disgusted look when Janeway placed The Doctor’s hand on her butt. When he mentioned the whoopee cushion on the bridge, I liked it so much that I was inspired to start writing "The Joke War".

The alien species reminded me very much of a bunch of oversized marshmallows. So much so that I even got a craving for s’mores!

Here are some parts of the episode that I especially liked: when the computer said aloud, “Last chance to be a hero, Doctor. Get going!”, when Harry stood transfixed by the topless Seven fantasy, and when Janeway was kind to The Doctor near the end of the episode (when he was worried about his exposition).

When Neelix called his home planet Talaxia, it really bugged me. I know for a fact that it is Talax, NOT Talaxia. Even in “Pathways” by Jeri Taylor, it is called Talax.

I felt that Captain Janeway acted wrong when she made fun of The Doctor’s formal complaint in front of all the bridge crew. Even if she was annoyed, she should of kept her feelings to herself, rather than talk behind The Doctor’s back.

Can you imagine if The Doctor had had a romantic fantasy about the Captain while she, Harry, and B’Elanna looked on?? Janeway would never let him live it down. She would never give him a medal of recommendation, either.

Perhaps my opinions have been biased, since it IS the 6th time I’ve seen “Tinker Tenor”…

Bottom Line: Watch it again; the facial expressions alone are worth it

I am writing this review after seeing “Tinker Tenor” at least 5 times, but I can still say that I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. Okay… the Doctor is my favorite character, but I think the other characters had cute scenes as well.

In each of the Doctor’s daydream sequences, Tom is hilarious. He is grinning while watching the show, then thrown around in the singing scene. He makes disgusted looks when the Captain puts the Doctor’s hand on her butt in the briefing scene (excuse the pun!!), and he looks cutely pathetic in the B’Elanna/Doc daydream. His quip about the whoopee cushion and “ancient technology” are hilarious.

I think that the Captain was pretty heartless to discuss the Doctors request/complaint in front of the whole bridge crew. I think it should have been handled privately considering how much the crew is known to gossip. I do think she was very nice and gentle to the Doctor after his daydreams were exposed.

I don’t understand how having an ECH would be beneficial to Voyager. Does the Doctor really need that title? I’m sure if the crew were incapacitated, the Doctor would do his best to handle things, but having the costume change and title seem unnecessary to me. But maybe that’s the whole point… the Doctor’s ego coming into play.

The aliens’ appearance really didn’t bother me as much this time around.

I think that Robert Picardo really shone in this episode. I loved his little looks of guilt, embarrassment; terror. They were priceless.

Seven, Seven, Seven. What a tease! You wouldn’t see B’Elanna or Captain Janeway EVER kissing the Doctor “platonically”. Where’d she learn that from?

This was a fun, enjoyable episode. It’s nice to take a break from heavy eps and sit back and have a little laugh!!
