I liked "One Small Step" much better the second time around. I found the character interaction to be very well written and acted.
It is so true to Janeway's character that she pushed Seven of Nine to "volunteer" for a mission she did not want to go on. Historical discovery might be very important to Captain Janeway, but it is unfair for her to force her opinions on others.
Chakotay seemed a bit out of character to me when he insisted that Tom retain the tractor beam on the module. I know that it was a very important discovery to him, but I think he would realize that their lives were more important than the spacecraft.
I really liked the scene where Chakotay has just regained consciousness and he demands for Seven to bring him up to date on the Delta Flyer's status. Seven reacted very much the way I would if confronted with the same situation: annoyed and disgusted.
Was I the only one who noticed, or was Harry being ignored again? I think he only had, like, a total of two lines in "One Small Step", and no one spoke to him at all.
Did Seven ever take the holo-images she promised The Doctor? I guess she didn't have enough time. She'll have to make it up to him some other way...
Bottom Line: Good, but not awe-inspiring

This was a very nice little episode. It was funny, touching, and sad.
I liked the Chakotay scene at the beginning where he is having trouble with his door, the com system, and getting out of his room.
The graviton ellipse was neat looking.
We found out that Seven wanted to be a ballerina when she was little… cute.
The conflict between Chakotay and Seven was very good. Seven’s cold, dispassionate nature was the total opposite of Chakotay’s sentimental personality, and it was nice to see some fighting! It was a realistic scene.
I really like the Space Suits. I loved them on “Day of Honor”, “Demon”, and was happy to see its return. The sound of the magnetic cohesion when a step is taken is cool.
When Lt. John Kelly mentioned in his log that he hoped that whoever found him would “take the data and put it to good use”, it was touching because you know that his wish is going to come true through Voyager.
Also he stated that his “one regret was he never found out who won the World series”, and Seven whispered the results to him at the end at his funeral: it was sad and sweet.
I liked it very much!
