I found this episode a little slow in the middle but pretty enjoyable for the most part. My favorite parts were of B’Elanna being aggressive and bossy! I also liked when the aliens acted out the Janeway/Chakotay love scene (see, even they want something to develop between those two!) Tuvok being caught snoring on his duty shift by Tom was also very comical! Hey, he’s been looking weird for the last two episodes…
I didn’t like how dispassionate B’Elanna was about the Seven/Paris kissing scene. Come on! I’m sure she’d be jealous of that. Also, was I imagining it or was there supposed to be some romantic tension going on between Keless and B’Elanna? What gives? Are Tom and B’Elanna still dating? I never see those two together anymore. Even Tom’s attempt to ask the Captain to search for B’Elanna seemed half-hearted.

When B’Elanna stated that a good story is better than ‘all that kissing’, it left me a little miffed. I couldn’t help feeling like the writers were trying to send some secret underlying message to the viewers and draw some parallel to how they write Voyager episodes. I for one, look forward to the dry crumbs of romance they throw at us once in a blue moon, and I wouldn’t mind if they wrote a few more episodes like “Resolutions”, “Blood Fever”, “Day of Honor”, and “Someone to Watch Over Me”.

All in all, I liked the message that the show was trying to send about how we can change the world for the better through our examples. A noble thought.
