"Good Shepherd"

"Good Shepard" was okay... I mean, it had some bright spots in it, like the whole opening teaser sequence. I thought it was cool being able to see in the front windows of Voyager: the mess hall, Captains Ready Room. Having us follow the path of the PADD as it was handed from person to person, travelling to various Decks and ending up on Deck 15 where we pan out from the window on the bottom of the ship. I liked Seven's performance report. It was humourous to see the Department Head's reactions to her. I liked the three "loser" crew members that we got to meet (Herron, Tal, and Billy). That's about it!
On the bad side, I didn't like the way B'Elanna asked Tal, "What does our Borg Queen want now?" I found it very unprofessional and unnessesary.
Doesn't the Captain know her ship? She's been on the ship for 6 years and she doesn't know the floorplan of Deck 15? Come on!
When Tal and the Captain were talking in the Delta Flyer about Tal's shortcomings, the Captain says, "We all make mistakes... even me!" and she gives a funny little look. Tal asks, "Every day?" During this conversation, I was yelling "YES!!!!" Captain Janeway always makes stupid decisions in my opinion...
I didn't like the whole alien invasion. Captain Janeway shoots Billy to get the alien out of him (this could have killed the alien). The alien comes plopping out onto a console and starts messing with the ships systems. Then Herron shoots the alien, killing it. Janeway gets angry, but then she's willing to kill the multitude of aliens chasing the Flyer instead of trying to communicate with them!!! Hello?! It never did show what happened to the aliens. Did the Captain kill them?
In the end, Janeway seems pleased that she went on a mission with the 3 crewmembers. But just what did she accomplish? Tal is still an idiot, Herron is a recluse and okay, maybe Billy has gotten over his medical fears. Now Janeway can go back to ignoring them...
This episode left me with a bad taste in my mouth...
