I’d like to be a Pirate

I’d like to be a pirate one day
with so many harbours to stay
Through the seven seas I’ll sail
whilst around me the sirens will wail
I’d rob all the ships come passing by
and give to the poor in a wink of an eye
Then it won‘t take very long
when you will hear a tell-tale song,
about the fearless pirate at sea
and you'll know – that pirate is ME!!

Little Peter Pocket

Little Peter Pocket
just loved to pick a pocket
Picking a pocket one day
he tripped and fell in the hay
As alas, from that pocket
he’d picked out a lock-it
which stuck on his finger
and there it may linger
forever and maybe more
I assume now his finger is sore!!

The Moon

The sky was clear and the stars were bright
The moon above was a beautiful sight

He smiled so brightly, it blinded me
So I closed my eyes, yet still  could see

He gave me a wink so filled with cheer
Though far away, I felt he was near
He hummed me a lullabye so soft and sweet
Feeling comfy, I soon fell asleep

I woke up this morning and the moon was gone
But alas, I’ve forgotten his beautiful song.

Free ride

Once upon a time in the dark dark jungle
There was a little mouse whose name was Bungle
Running through the jungle one day
he heard someone shout; „Hey! Hey!“
He stopped to see
from where came the plea
and so was attacked by a flea

....who then took a ride through the jungle.

Poor little witch

Oh, it was so tragic
as she’d lost her magic
and could not remember where.
Ss she sat on a stone,
which  started to moan
The groans were hard to bear
She said she was sorry
but did not have to worry
for the stone was really a bear
Who ate her up whole
without but a soul
to miss her or even to care..

Sheepy sleep or sleepy sheep?

Fluffy was fast asleep
dreaming he was a sheep
It didn’t take long
when he thought "Somethings wrong!!
I was counting the sheep..
when I then fell asleep...?"

He woke up and started to bleat!

Catch your feet

Fiddly, Diddly and Dircles
keep walking around in circles
They’re trying to catch their feet
Despite of the soaring heat.
If only they’d stop and stand
Their feet would be close at hand!

Little Batty-Rat

Little Batty-Rat
climbed into a hat
He found it so cosy
So now my aunt Rosy
has a rather batty hat
Or is it a ratty bat?

What do you think of that?

Naughty wind

Oh, oh, oh,
where did the wind now go?
This way, or did it go that way?
I really hope to catch it one day
I’d then stop it’s silly teasing
and the day will be rather pleasing

My little Kitty Cat

My little Kitty Cat is so sweet
He cleans himself, and is always neat

He curls himself up – when he goes to sleep
If I give him a fright, he makes a big leap

I admire his walks through mum’s menagerie,
as he avoids collisions – so elegantly

Though sometimes he can be ungracious
When it’s time to eat he thinks it's the races!

He gobbles his food in such a way
you’d think he’d had nothing for more than a day

He brings home mice and other fur
Not knowing what I really prefer

But I do love my Kitty Cat, oh, so much
I hope he knows it and takes it as such

My Pal

My friend Sandy is a real good guy
When I leave for school I hug him goodbye
He whimpers sadly when I leave him at home
as he hates nothing more than being alone

When I get home from school he jumps up on me
wagging his tail and as happy as can be
He barks and pulls at me to come out and play
so we go for walks at least twice a day

(He finds just everything so very inviting
The adventures we have are quite exciting)

Whenever I'm bored or feeling blue
He shows me there's always something to do
He makes me laugh by acting funny
even a rainy day  seems to be sunny

I appreciate his friendship more than words can say
and nothing will ever part us, come what may

A Troll in my cupboard

There was a Troll in my cupboard yesterday
He was searching for something, but wouldn't say..
He jumped all around and made a big mess
(had it been up to me, I couldn't care less)
He spread my marbles all over the floor
(imagine if someone had come through that door!)
I told him to stop,  but he didn't care
and try and stop him I didn't dare
You should have seen him spin around
as he then disappeared, without a sound
I remember his eyes so full of glee...
Believe me mom, it wasn’t me!
