This is a picture of Ida and Isador Strauss. Ida Strauss refused to get in a lifeboat, and as a result they both died that night.
Shown here is JJ Astor, the richest man on the ship. His young wife Madeline, who was five months pregnant at the time, survived the sinking but he did not.
