Kids love it when they are involved in magic. You should try to involve them as much in your magic as you can. If you find this a problem then simply ask for a volenteer and simply produce a coin from behind his/her ear. This should amaze a 3-5 year old child. Also make them shout magic words then say that it was not loud enough so make them do it again and agian. this amuses children.

Performance tips

If you are nervous about performing then do not be. Just practise your routine over and over. You must be prepared for the smart remarks children make as you will always have some who say "I know how you did that" or "Thats not really magic" just be prepared and nothing should go wrong

Rabbit From Hat

Effect:

A rabbit appears from an empty hat!

Secret:

Obtain a chair with a cover. Attach a hook to the back of the chair. Attach a bag to this hook. It will not be seen due to the chair cover. Inside this bag is a rabbit (a stuffed rabbit may be used). Show the hat empty then make some magic passes over the hat. As you are doing this then collect the hat in the bag and produce the rabbit. You could also attach the bag with the rabbit in it to your assistant if you have one.

The Shrinking Orange
