1-14~Doug Shouts Out About The Disappearance Of Several Players
Stumbling Sabres-- Inconsistant to say the least
Ok guys and gals--that first column was i little rough. I apologize if any of that offended any of you fans out there. I know those Ward comments were harsh, but it was really rough though so dont bash me too much for it. Now let's talk about the problems and happeneings.
First of all, where are the trades??? This team needs it in the worst way. Something to ignite i flame under their rear-ends. Lindy Ruff even quoted "This team needs a trade, something to give us that extra spark we need." I dont know how much more clear it can get. Darcy - MAKE A TRADE!!!! "Doh dee doh doh hi I'm Darcy Regier and i cant make a trade cuz i cant pick up the phone cuz my finger is lodged in my nose!!! Doh dee doh doh" I think that the front office thinks "Hey we got to the cup last year with this team, we might as well keep all the players." I am so shocked nothing has been done. They put off trading like I do my English homework. (Oh and that stupid Tsyplakov isnt a trade) All these loyal fans like Will, myself, and all of you sabres fans out there are sick of 7th and 8th seed seasons if I'm not mistaken. If you do the right thing with the Sabres, they are unbeatable. And whatever that "right thing" is, it's not being done. End of story.
What's with this inconsistancy? Lose to the Red Wings 7-2, Beat Maple Leafs 8-1, then go lose to the Maple Leafs 6-1. All in a span of 4 days. That is only a sample of what is happening to this team. One minute they are on top of their game, next game they come out flat. This kinda hockey gets you absolutely nowhere. Sure, they may make the playoffs, but if they play that way they are out in the first round,because chances are, they will be an 8th or 7th seed which means they play the best teams in the NHL. It worries me. They gotta put together a streak. A 4 game win streak. You know how good the Sabres are when they are hot. They are basically unstoppable. They charge through the league like Roseanne through a candy shop
What happened to Peca? Personally I am a huge Peca fan but he's just not playing the same ever since he got his rear-end whomped by Darcy Tucker. Sure you see a big hit here and there....but there is no consistancy. A word that is common only with Brown, McKee, Satan, Barnes, Afinigenov, Sarich, and Warrener. I hope Peca comes around because I would hate to see him leave, because he is one of my favorites, and I have his jersey and what good would that be if he's gone?
