Hello. My name is Heather of Qurin, and this is my story. It starts five years ago, when I was thirteen years old. I had never really felt quite right with my parents and siblings. I always sort of felt out of place. On the day that I turned thirteen, my mother came into my room. She had a depressed look on her face. I had never seen my mother, an energetic person, look so down.
" Heather,"she said." I've always known that I'd have to tell you this, but I had hoped that it wouldn't be so soon. Please, come have a seat." I walked over to my bed, for I had been gazing through the window when she first came in, and lowered myself down. I looked questioningly at her.
" Mother, what don't you want to tell me? What's wrong?"
" Nothing's wrong. I just hoped that I wouldn't lose you so soon."
" You're not going to lose me. I'm staying right here!" I exclaimed
" There's something that I have to tell you, she explained. "your-your not my daughter," She rushed.
" Of course I'm your daughter. I look like you. That alone proves it," I hurriedly exclaimed, not letting her get a word in edgewise.
" A strange coincidence, thats all. I found you thirteen years ago to this day. There was a note with you saying, her name is Heather. I just recently got a note saying, its time. You have to leave and find out who you are. I wish I could help you, but all I can say is, good luck. You must leave soon."
I stared at her, speechless. First she tells me she's not my mother, and now she's telling me I have to leave soon. It seemed as if my whole world was falling apart.
