Pumpkin Land

Hey! You know what? My Pumpkins page actually serves a purpose other than to just state the obviousness of Pumpkin greatness. I have met the band! I saw them play in a club of less than 1000 people too! No experience will ever match that show. The Pumpkins played the best show of their lives that night and guess what? I was there. I have more to tell. My friend Tara is documenting the whole quest in her book and will photocopy it for me. I'm lazy. We have brainstormed and should, between us, have remembered most of the cool parts. So give it a little while and you should have a very entertaining story here.

I've uploaded a couple of images. So look at em.

If you think this is a picture then you are a stupid cock-weasled unic. It is a message from outer space. From the Green Quadrant...and unless you've been eating your Zinc you will not be karmically intune with the transmitor and therefore will not quite see what is actually there. Oh well...whatever.

I MET THE PUMPKINS!!!!!

LOOKIT!!!

I can't describe the feeling of walking into the record store with the pumpkins sitting and greeting fans only 15 or 20 feet away. Its like, wow, they really do exist on this plane of existance. Tara (the coolest pumpkin-freak-chick that I know around here) and I were standing in line and she just couldn't keep it in anymore. She started to cry and we were both just so excited and awestruck. It took her a few minutes to pull herself together but she did. ;o) Waiting in line was like waiting to get into the pearly gates or something. Melissa Auf Der Maur smiled at me before I even got up to the front of the line. Of course I smiled back... god she is so beautiful. I borrowed some guy's cell phone so I could get on the phone with my lovely Ariel and see if Billy would say, "hi" but as soon as I got on the phone the security guard gave me the evil eye and shook his head no. :o( What an ass. Anywho. So Melissa was first to sign. I handed her my Siamese Dream Record and I said, "I'm so glad you're in the band. You are the only one who could have replaced her (D'arcy)." and she smiled and said. "Me too. This is the only band I would have joined." Cool huh? I love the little devil tail on the end of her signature. Next was James. I told him that I think hes a truly beautiful person and he said, "Yeah, I'm tryin'." I forgot to tell him that he is a comedian. I wanted to ask him if he had any tricks up his sleeve for the comedy routine later that night that he was at liberty to divulge... I wish I'da remembered. Oh well. I'm glad James signed like he did. Now the question is: what is it? Energy rays? A flower? Spikes? What? Who cares, its cool and James-y. Then Jimmy. His new hair really brings out his eyes ya know? It looks cool. I told him that every one, I mean everyone is glad hes back. He said that he is too. Well of course. And look, a smiley face! The whole band seems happier and re-energized lately. Yay!!! And then... then billy. I said, "billy?", he said,"yes?" and I said, "Thank you for enhancing my life!" and shook his hand and he did the thing where he closes his eyes and nods his head slightly as if to say, "but of course." I was in major billy awe. Then I said, "so we're going to the show later tonight. Can we have backstage passes?" and he said, "Naaah. We're not doing that. Besides, all we do is have sex and do drugs back there." and I was like, "thats ok!" and he said, "you guys look a little too young for that kind of stuff." Grrr, stupid billy! hehe. Tara and I do look a little younger than we are, but still. :oP Then the security guard tried to get me to leave but I didn't cuz I wanted to see what happened when Tara met billy. She was like, "Oh billy! Your music means so much to me. I can't even put it into words" and then she started to cry a little more and billy was like, "oh no." and he stood up and leaned way over the table and gave her a kiss! And then a hug. Not a pat on the back, but a real hug. It was so amazing to watch. Personally though, if I were Tara I would have went for the mouth. ;o) Then we both kinda stumbled towards the door.
So thats the story on what happened inside Dimple Records. Thats only a fraction of the whole story... which includes hours and hours and hours of standing in line excitement and adventure.

This is the ticket I left my house at 1:30am to wait in line for 7 hours for. This is the ticket I used to get into the best show the world has ever been lucky enough to have. Too bad only 1000 of its inhabitants saw the show.

We got such a sweet deal at Dimple. If we preordered our Machina for $14 even, we'd get this promo for free on the spot. Rad.

This shirt kicks ass. I've been wearing it for 3 days now. I think I might put a different one on tomorrow. Maybe.

These were scans of momentos from my stay in Pumpkinland. I even met the King ( a 6 foot four bald guy playing lead-f*cking-guitar ), Billy Corgan. I met them all! After being in Pumpkin land for days it really sucks coming back to normal life! hehe. An eternity of Pumpkin love! Bye!
