Pipes, upclose & personal

Often, far too often, I get asked "Where did you get the nick name pipes from hu?? Ya like smoking pipes or sumthn'?" "No, no, no, no, no....." I alway have to answer, then its like "is it cuz ya got muscles or sumthn'?" "Well, I'd like to say yes, but that wouldn't be true either..." so here I will tell you the story of Paul's birth into

A long time ago in grade 10 there was a young man named Paul, he had recently attained what he thought was a small level of confidence & self worth over the last few months of his High School life at Tamanawis Secondary School. For to his amazment! He had finally gone thru PUBERTY!!! & he was happy.... because a sudden growth spurt had given him MUSCLES! With his new found strength he set out to enhance his abilities & started working out intencely all the time, not going unnoticed the wrestlers he worked-out with in the morning invited him to the wrestling team, so he joined & he sucked! It was a great workout & Paul grew stronger & more confident, & with his new crew of Wrestling buddies his self worth sky-rocketed! Searchin' for a new challenge at the end of grade 11 Paul joined a Tae-Kwon-Do class. He then new he had trully found his "Niche" his confidance soared. At this same time Desmond, his best bud asked him to come join the Gymnastics Team with him, so, with the new found confidance he did, & together they both exceled in the world of gymnastics. Propelling the two young men to the B.C. Championships in the City of Victoria (a two hour Ferry ride over the strait from Vancouver. The competition is 3 days long, & our two young hero's only compete on the 2nd day, so needless to say they had plenty of time & not a lot to do, so thru-out the endless hours of watching others compete the other young male gymnists & themselve became good buds, so, like all good buds, they decide to give eachother nicknames, & so Dez & Paul being the eldest, they start christening these young ppls... "Doogie, Cupcake & muffin" are thrown out... Of course Dez & Paul would never accept such a title, so Dez is dubed "Ozgood" & they turn & label Paul, "Pipes" & it stuck. To this day, they still call Me, Pipes.
