... in one God (Deut 6:4; 1 Cor. 8:6) existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matt 28:19; 1Cor. 13:14). He is eternal (Gen 21:33; Deut. 33:27). Father, Son, and Spirit have equality with one another (John 10:30; Acts 5:3-4).
... that Man was created perfectly, in the image of God (Gen. 1:26-27; 1 Cor. 11:7), consisting of spirit and body (Gen. 2:7; Mt.10:28). Man’s chief end is to glorify God (Is 43:7; Mt 5:16). He was created to have dominion over creation (Gen 1:28). He disobeyed God, and became sinful (Rom. 5:12; Rom. 5:19) and now is totally depraved, unable to save himself (Eph. 2:8; James 2:10).
... that sin has given man a need for salvation (Ecc. 7:20; Rom. 3:23). The penalty for sin is physical, spiritual, and eternal death (Rom. 6:23; Rev. 21:8). Salvation is by the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ on the cross (Titus 3:5; Acts 4:12).
... that Jesus Christ is fully God (Phil. 2:6; Jn. 1:1-2) and fully man (Jn. 1:14; Mt. 16:13; 1 Tim. 3:16). He existed before His incarnation (Jn. 1:1-2; Jn. 8:58). He was born physically (Luke 2:12; Luke 2:23). He lived a sinless life (2 Cor 5:21; 1 Jn 3:5) though tempted by the Devil (Mt. 4:1; Mk. 1:12). He died for our sins as a substitute (Eph. 5:2; 1 Cor. 15:3) He rose from the grave three days after His death (1Cor. 15:4; Mk. 16:6) and He ascended to Heaven (Luke 24:50-52; Acts 1:9-11). His present ministry is a High Priest (Heb. 4:14-5; Heb. 7:26), and an Advocate (1Jn 2:1).
... that salvation is not by works (Eph. 2:8-9), it is by grace through faith (Eph. 2:8-9). Repentance (Acts 17:30; Lk. 24:46-47), and faith are needed (Rom. 10:9; Eph. 2:8). At salvation we have union with Christ (Gal. 2:20; 1Cor. 6:17). We have been justified in the past (Rom. 8:30; Rom. 8:33; Rom. 3:24), continue to be sanctified (2 Cor. 6:17; 2 Cor. 3:18) positionally (Acts 20:32; 1 Cor. 6:11) and progressively (2 Cor. 7:1; Heb. 12:14), and will be glorified (1Jn 3:2-3; Rom. 8:23).
... that the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, is God because He possesses the attributes of God (Rom.15:13; Eph.4:30). His ministry is to testify of Christ (Jn. 15:26) and glorify Him (Jn 16:14). In the world His ministry is to convict of sin (John 16:8). At salvation He regenerates (John 3:6; Titus 3:5), baptizes (Gal.3:27), seals (Eph.1:13; 1 Cor.1:22), indwells (Rom.8:9), anoints (2 Cor.1:21; 1 John 2:20), and assures (Rom. 8:16). In growth He fills (Eph.5:18), empowers (Acts 1:8), teaches (1 Cor. 2:13), guides (Rom. 8:14), prays for us (Rom. 8:26), bears fruit (Gal. 5:22-23), and liberates (Rom. 8:2).
... in the universal church of believers (Matt. 16:18) and Christ as the head of it. That the local church is a visible manifestation of the universal church (1 Cor1:2). That the functions of the church are to glorify God (Rom. 15:9;Eph. 3:21), evangelize (Matt. 28:19-20), promote all that is good (Gal. 6:10), edify itself (Eph. 4:12), and purify itself. That baptism is an ordinance for believers to show their commitment to the Lord (Acts 18:8). That the Lord’s supper is an ordinance for believers instituted by the Lord, used to remember the Christ’s sacrificial death (Matt.26:26-28; 1Cor.11:24-25).
... in the inspiration of the Old and New Testament Scriptures as originally given. These Scriptures are inerrant in all that they affirm and are our final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
