LIST AND DEFINITIONS
Toprock - Just dancing around before downrocking. Looks kinda like skipping
around.
Uprock - A form of dance that looks like a fast kung fu fight with no contact.
Each movement done means something like tearing the person's arms off, or
slashing the person.
Downrock - The breaking done on the ground. Consists of mostly the six step or
other steps, with techs, power moves, and freezes worked into it. A chance for a
breaker to show off their style.
Tech - A variation added into a basic step for style. Everyone has their own
original ones.
Power move - Any one of the moves listed below. You shouldn't downrock unless
you know at least a few of them to work in.
Freeze (stall) - Climatic point in a dance routine where the bboy unexpectantly
freezes into an awkward or difficult position for a few seconds.
Bite (to bite) - To copy someone's style and moves. Very disrespectful.
Six Step - Backbone of footwork. Looks as if bboy is walking around on the
ground in a circle. 13KB ANIMATION.
Four Step - Six step where steps five and six are skipped. Right leg is swung hard
at step four.
Three Step - Another popular breakdancing step. Can be mixed in with six step.

CC Step - Another step usually used as a tech. (NO GUIDE)
Footwork Techs, Tips, and Style - Some stuff on doin techs, improving your

1990 - The Bboy spins on one hand while in a handstand. Really nice looking.

2000 - When you 1990 with one hand on the other.
Windmill - Legs are spread in V-shape and bboy spins around from his upper back
to stomach, then back to his back, and so forth. 83KB ANIMATION.
Halo - Windmills without your shoulders or back. You spin on the back of your
head instead.
Airtrack - One rotation of a windmill in the air. Demonstrated well by Krayz E Kujo
(guy who wrote this guide) in "It's Like That".
Flare - Legs spread in V-shape. Bboy supports himself on hands while spinning his
legs around him. Originated from gymnasts working on the pommel horse. 24KB
ANIMATION.
Headspin - Pretty self-explanatory. . . spin on your head.
Back Handspring - Like a backflip, but you land on your hands half way through
in a handstand position and then you spring around through the rest of the flip.
Essential for backflips.
Suicide - From crouch or standing position, bboy jumps into the air, and lands flat
on his back (without really killing himself).
Turtle and other floats - Bboy spins around on hands with body horizontal, and
with elbows tucked into his stomach area. Guide includes crickets, handspins, and
other variations. 7KB ANIMATION.
Bronco / Donkey - From standing position, bboy jumps into slanted hand stand,
then kicks back into standing position.
Solar Eclipse - Jump into a handstand position and then by kicking your legs,
jump up and down on your hands.
Kip-Up - Kung-fu move where bboy rolls back from a lying position to his upper
back, then kicks legs up and snaps body back into standing or crouching position.
Rubberband - Same as kip-up, but instead of rolling onto upper back, bboy hops
back onto it. Repeated over and over.
Apple-Jack - From crouch, bboy kicks one leg up and back, thowing him onto his
hands and foot. Then kicks leg back up and forwards to get back to starting
position. (NO GUIDE)
Two-Legged Apple-Jack - Same as Apple-Jack, except both legs are kicked
back and up.
Swipes - Very fun, easy, and popular move. Good for downrock techs, combos,
and just individual use. From all fours, back down, bboy kicks legs into air and
spins them 360 landing back in original position.
Helicopters - Bboy's leg sweeps around in circular direction while in a crouch.
Other leg hops over sweeping one.
Backspin - Bboy winds his legs and spins in circles on his back.
Worm - From lying or standing position, bboy jumps onto hands, and lowers his
body down slowly - chest first, then stomach, then legs.
Caterpillar - Same as worm, but your body rolls forwards - legs first, then
stomach, then chest.
Nickel - To be used mostly as a tech. From knees, bboy lifts one leg up to the
side while supporting himself with his hands. Bboy then lowers this leg quickly, and
raises the other.
