Bread Pudding with Fruit

1 large loaf French bread
4 eggs
4 c. sugar
2 cans fruit cocktail, drained
2 sticks butter, melted
2 cans evaporated milk
4 tsp. vanilla

Beat eggs, milk, butter and vanilla. Beat in sugar gradually. Add drained fruit cocktail. 
Cut  French bread into large cubes; add to other ingredients and let soak for 5 to 10 minutes.
Pour into large greased baking pan or glass casserole dish. 
Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees until firm in center. Do not over bake.

Boozy Bread Pudding Sauce

1 stick butter
1 c. rum or whiskey
1 c. sugar

Melt butter, stir in liquor and sugar.  Pour over warm bread pudding.
