Comments: Terrific site! I never knew that there are other people who find air disasters emotionaly interesting. Flying is by far the safest way to travel but... good luck if you're stuck on one of those beasts while it is helplessly plunging down through the sky. I really find this fascinating. But... I hope it doesn't happen to me. That is um... not a good way to go. I mean yes it's quick and you probably wouldn't even notice but those las few seconds -- ok ok I'll shut up now. Excellent site!

Comments: Its great to actually hear the last moments before such tragic accidents. Just wondering if you know of anywhere where I can obtain the tower/CVR recordings for the Tenerife accident. It doesn't seem to be avilable anywhere-can you help me.

Comments: Thank you for providing this site. It was easy to find and after all these years, I didn't think I would find anything on this flight disaster that I remember so well. I was a student at San Diego State at the time and saw the smoke from the crash on the way to class. The crash had quite an affect on me that has lasted all this time.

Comments: On your Tenerife crash transcript some of what the Pan Am crew said before the crash is missing.
Pan Am Captain: Let's get the hell right out of here.
Pan Am 1st Officer: Yeah...he's anxious, isn't he? Pan Am Engineer: After he's held us up for all this time, now he's in a rush.
Pan Am Captain (seeing KLM jet):There he is...look at him! Godddamn...that son of a bitch is coming!
Pan Am 1st Officer: Get off! Get off! Get off!
(I don't have the exact times of these exchanges but they occur in the Pan Am cockpit just after the KLM crew have reassured themselves that the Pan Am is clear of the runway.

Comments: Great Website - fascinating to read the transcripts from the CVRs and the tower before the crashes! Are you going to add any other crashes to your website in the future? How about Aloha Airlines Boeing 737-297 N73711 on April 28 1988, British Airways Boeing 747-236B G-BDXH on June 24 1982, or Japan Air Lines Boeing 747SR-46 JA8119 on August 12 1985???

Comments: Read your TWA 800 page. I see that you've taken the sounds from "The truth in the black box" as the program was called in Swedish television.
I think that makes your recording and transcript quite incomplete. I have the complete transcript, both as text and sound-file . If you're interested, you can mail me (raol@swipnet.se) and I will send it.

Comments: I read the microfiche from the San Diego Union from 26 Sep to 30 Sep 78. There was a twin engine Cessna was flying in the area at the time of the crash. The PSA captain may have thought this was the Cessna the Lindbergh tower alluded to rather than the 172 that the 727 later collided into. Even though the FAA/NTSB found the PSA crew at fault, was the confusion over which Cessna the control tower was talking about ever cited or discounted as a factor to the crash?

Comments: heLLo.. indeed, the PSA crash is quite a disturbing one.. especially if you read the transcript of the CFR that was left out in your page (this I found in the International Avaition Disaster Database). The ending goes like this:
09.01:57 TWR Okay, we'll call the equipment for you.
09.01:58 CAM [sound of stall warning]
09.02:14 PA-1 This is it!
09.02:17 CAM-1 Brace yourself!
09.02:19 CAM-1 Mom, I love you!
09.02:22 CAM [end of recording]
..Yipes.. When airplane crashes happen, I visualize what it must be like to endure the final moments.. And since these people have died by simply doing something that most of us do on a regular basis -- analyzing the crashes and thinking about the people on board -- why they were going where they were going -- why that flight, etc.. brings it a lot closer to home.. eEp..

Comments: I respect someone who is as devoted to "Blade Runner" as I. In answer to your question--Deckard knows so much about Tyrell's "niece" because he is famiiar with the various models' programmed personal histories. Did you get a lot of your data from the book? Also, I do not agree with your assertion that Rachel was a lesbian (based on the movie)--did you get that belief from the book? Also, I was fascinated with your air disasters web site! Take care!

They're not tattoos, they're signs of tissue disintegration, as he nears death. 2) Chew doesn't work in the Tyrell Building because he's a freelancer, not an employee. 3) Deckard knew so much about Tyrell's niece because he interviewed her. Do I win a prize?:-) Keep up the webmeistering tWD

Comments: Dear sir,
Congrats first on a really good site, although the whole thing on menu page "My favorite movie Blade-Runner...South Park" stuff, belies what actually is one of the most well done spots on air accidents that I've had to trek through in recent days, for some research I'm doing into a writing project here at university. Even the official FAA site doesn't have that picture of the crash site victims of the Tenerife disaster, which I saw used on a TV show called "Black Box" here in the UK and I've been charging around trying to trace ever since. What was the source of these images? If it is on the internet, could you give me their URL/Web page as I would like to get a download myself.
Feel free to drop me a line at my e-mail address and many thanks in advance for any help.

I'm really frustrated- I either find what I need about another flight (CVR transcripts, etc.) or I find the flight I need, but not the info. Any recommendations??
