Chapter 1
Sonny Corinthos sat still on the couch in his penthouse, all lights off. The sun had already set making the penthouse darker than usual.
In his right hand he held a glass full of wine. Red wine. He had the urge to slam the glass against the wall into millions of pieces...he resisted that temptation. Instead decided to drink some of it. He brought the glass to his lips and gulped it down. Gulping more than expected. He brought it away from his lips and stared at the now empty glass.
His mind was racing with thoughts...thoughts of betrayal.
Brenda...the beautiful brunette who he had loved. Who had betrayed him by wearing a wire. Now Hannah. Another brunette. Almost a replica of Brenda. Why hadn't he seen this coming? Why hadn't he known? It was so obvious. Obvious to everyone...everyone but him.
He examined the glass, cupping the sides and turning it with one hand. He stared at the fine detail of each side.
With one powerful squeeze it shattered. Watching the pieces fly, he almost let out a smile... almost. He felt one piece of glass jam into the palm of his hand. Slowly he opened his hand. Small pieces of glass were scattered around his hand. Below his index finger he saw a fairly large pieces jammed into his skin. Blood rushed out covering his hand. He liked it. Liked watching destruction.
Sonny continued staring at his hand for a few more minutes. Somehow he couldn't feel the pain. All he felt was...nothing. He could not feel anything.
Not the sharp pain of glass cutting through his skin every time he budged.
Not the feel of the woman who was now kneeling in front on him, shaking his shoulders for him to respond.
Slowly he lifted his head to look in the eyes of the woman in front of him.
''Sonny?'' Carly said softly. ''Sonny can you hear me?'' She stopped shaking him, realizing it was doing no good.
Her eyes moved away from his face and rested on his hand. Blood continued to gush out. ''Oh god. Sonny , not again.'' She shook her head. Deja Vu. she thought. She looked around the penthouse. She had gotten here in time, nothing was smashed or broken. She sighed a breath of relief. She had remembered last August with great detail. How scared she had been. Not of Sonny himself, but what he had done to himself. Fortunately she knew better how to handle the situation.
She looked back at him. He just stared at his hand. She wondered if he realized she was in the room. Carly lifted his chin up with her hand. ''Sonny, you gotta try your best to listen to me okay? We have to take care of the wound. It's going to be okay.'' She assured him. ''Now I am just going to get a first aid kit from Jason's penthouse. Okay? Stay here and please, please don't do anything.''
Sonny grunted a little and Carly interpreted that as a yes. She grabbed her purse from the floor and rushed out the door.
~*~
Carly carried a first aid kit in one hand and her purse in the other. Luckily she had her spare key to Jason's PH with her since Jason was out of town on a business trip. She knew she had to handle Sonny herself since Johnny was no where to be found.
She opened the door to Sonny's Penthouse, closing the door behind her. She turned on the lights. Her eyes scanned the room for Sonny. Who was nowhere to be found. Carly dropped her belongings on his desk. ''Sonny!'' she called out. ''Sonny where are you?'' She made her way to the kitchen to search for him.
''Get out.'' Sonny barked from the top of the stairs. Carly immediately turned to face him. He walked slowly down the stairs. ''Leave NOW.''
Carly knew what he was doing. Trying to get her out so she wouldn't see him in this state...it was too late for that. She was here for him before and she was here now. He needed her, even if he didn't admit it. Which he most certainly wouldn't. Either way he still needed her.
I need her here. Sonny thought. She is the only one right now who knew what to do. ''Are you going to leave or do I need to get Johnny to throw you out?'' It wasn't a question but more of an order. He stepped towards her.
''Johnny's not here.'' Carly told him, not backing down. She wasn't going to leave him.
''Guess I'll just have to throw you out myself then.''
''You don't scare me Sonny. You should know that by now. And I know you wouldn't dare lay a finger on me.''
Sonny stepped closer to her. ''That a dare?'' he asked raising his eyebrow a bit.
''I am Michael's mother. You know you wouldn't do anything to me.''
Sonny shook his head. ''Still using that poor kid to your advantage huh?''
''Listen Sonny. I don't know what the hell goes on in that twisted head of yours - -'' she started.
''I may be twisted honey, but you and me are the same remember?'' Sonny interrupted.
Carly resisted the urge to slap him across the face. ''I don't know why I even bother trying to help you.'' She really didn't know why. ''I guess that's the way my twisted mind works. So the faster I get your hand bandaged up the faster I can get out of your face.''
Sonny shrugged. He was too tired to argue. She pushed him into the chair by his desk He sat down and watched as she got out the rubbing alcohol and a piece of cotton.
He never really knew why he disliked her so much. Maybe for all the hell she put Jason through and the way she manipulated people to get what she wanted. He stared at her pale face as her blond hair whisked around every time she moved. Beautiful. God she was beautiful. Underneath everything he knew he wanted her. Was he going to admit it? Naw, he couldn't do that. She was Jason's. Well not technically. But she still was. His instant reaction was to dislike her from the moment he met her.
Carly kneeled on the floor in front of him. ''Give me your hand.'' She ordered. He lay out his cut hand on his knee. Slowly and carefully she pulled out the sharp piece of glass.
This time he felt it. ''Argh!!'' he screamed.
''Almost done.'' She lied, knowing the worst was yet to come with the alcohol.
She took out the alcohol soaked cotton and rubbed it over the wound.
''*****!'' Sonny cursed. He squeezed his eyes shut and began to pull his hand away.
Carly immediately pulled it forward and continued rubbing the cotton over it. ''Big bad Sonny Corinthos getting hurt by a little rubbing alcohol?'' she grinned at him, trying to lighten the mood.
He glared at her but couldn't help but smile just a bit. He watched as her brown eyes sparkled with the lightning in the PH. He pulled his hand back a bit and she didn't oppose.
He watched closely as she bandaged up his hand by wrapping cloth around it. Every thing she did was so precise and perfect.
She could feel him watching her. She glanced up and caught his eye. Strands of blond hair fell into her face.
Keeping their eyes locked with his left hand Sonny slowly placed the loose strands behind her ear, brushing his hand against her cheek.
Carly shivered at the feel of his hand against her skin. She tried her best to dissect this small gesture. What's happening? She thought. And why does it feel so right? Carly bit her lower lip and stared directly at Sonny's lips.
He stared back at hers. They were so beautiful...just like her. How he'd just love to...he gulped. No, I can't this isn't right...is it? Sonny lowered his head breaking off their intense gaze.
Carly looked at the floor and fidgeted with her shirt. ''Eh...your hand should be fine now.'' She told him without looking up. ''Just eh, take care of it...'' She got up and grabbed her purse and walked to the door.
''Do you want to stay for dinner?'' Sonny asked impulsively but in a low voice.
Carly stopped at the door she turned around and was facing his back. She glanced at her watch. For some reason she wanted to stay. Why, she didn't know. ''I...I can't...um...Aj will be wondering where I went and - -''
Sonny shrugged it off and headed for the stairs. She sighed and left the penthouse.

Carly pushed the buttons of the elevator. All she wanted to do was go back and see him again. Him. Him who she had called her all sorts of horrible names. Him who she disliked the most. Him who hated her. Him who she couldn't get out of her mind. Carly sighed once more and stepped in the elevator.
~*~
Sonny lay in bed. He imagined her small delicate body climbing into his bed, kissing him...Stop. He told himself. That's wrong. She's not yours she's Jason's. And you don't like her, remember? But why was the only thing he could think about was HER.

My Everything
Chapter 2
''Mikey!'' Carly called out from the bottom of the stairs. ''Michael honey are you ready to go to the park with your momma?''
Leticia walked down the stairs with Michael in her arms. ''He sure is. Aren't you Michael.''
''Swing.'' Said Michael.
''Yeah that's right Michael you and I are gonna go on the swings.'' Carly said. Leticia put Michael down and Carly helped him into his jacket. ''You ready to go mister man?'' Carly took Michael's hand and they walked to the front door with Leticia.
''Going somewhere?'' AJ Quartermaine asked. He walked towards her and bent down beside Michael. ''Hey Buddy, what's going on?'' He kissed Michael on his head and then stood up to face Carly.
''Leticia could you take Michael outside and wait for me there. I will only be a minute.''
Leticia looked from AJ to Carly then nodded. ''Come on Michael we're going to go outside and look at the birds. You wanna do that?'' She asked. Michael nodded enthusiastically and she picked up him and took him out side.
''What the hell do you want AJ?'' Carly asked as soon as Michael and Leticia were out of earshot.
''I wanna know where are you going with MY son?'' Aj asked. He eyed Carly suspiciously as if she was up to something. He always did that.
Carly hated it. Shat hated how he had to know every detail of her life. She hated the way he treated her and Michael as possessions that he owned. Like a piece of new jewelry that you could show off to everyone and say ''it's mine''. And she hated the way she always felt she was a prisoner in this house. ''Out.'' She replied.
AJ's eye's narrowed as he did so often. ''Out? Out where?''
Anywhere away from you Carly thought. She decided to give him the answer he hated the most, but probably the one he expected her to say. ''You know around town, stop for a visit with Michael's father JASON . The normal routine.'' She spun around and began to open the door grinning to herself. AJ didn't know Jason was out of town, he was kept up in his own world. She knew just the mention of Jason's name would make AJ's blood boil, and she loved it.
AJ caught her by her arm. ''Don't you dare.''
Carly turned around to face him. She stared straight into his cold eyes. ''And just what would you do if I did huh?''
AJ tightened his grip around her arm. ''Trust me honey you don't wanna know.'' He paused. ''But...just as a little warning, I let you know that if you ever take Michael to see Jason, I'll have Michael taken away from you so fast. And of course you'll be back in Ferncliff.'' He laughed. ''Exactly where you belong.'' He let go of her arm and walked upstairs.
Carly rubbed her arm in the area where AJ has squeezed. *******. She needed to get out of here with Michael...and fast. She left the mansion in a hurry, trying not to let AJ ruin her day.

Carly, Michael and Leticia sat exhausted on a bench. Dark clouds began to gather in the once sunny sky. Carly frowned as she stared up at the sky. ''Look like it's going to rain huh? Guess mommy isn't so great at picking out days to go to the park.'' She told her son.
''Wain.'' Michael said.
''Guess our day at the park is going to half to be cut short buddy.'' Carly ruffled her son's hair. ''How about Ticia takes you home to wash up, cuz Mommy has some things to do.''
Leticia picked Michael up in her arms. ''Yeah we better get home before the rain comes down. Say bye to Mommy.'' The little boy laughed and waved to his mother, Carly blew him a kiss.
She walked through the park. All night long all she could think about was Sonny. She was worried. Worried about what he might do to himself. Worried that he would hurt himself. Worried. Why? She didn't know. She didn't bother to figure it out, she just knew she was. She wanted to see him. She needed to see him. To know if he was okay.
Carly flipped open her cell phone about to dial his number. No. It would be better if she just went there herself. She closed her cell phone and stuck it in her purse. Rain began to fall. Dam. She had left her umbrella with Leticia. Carly turned around and headed for Harbourview Towers.

Carly stepped off the elevator. Running a hand through her damp hair. The rain had come down harder than she had expected. She turned to her right and saw Johnny. ''Hey Johnny.''
''Mrs. Quartermaine.'' Johnny replied.
Carly laughed and ruffled up his tie. ''Carly, call me Carly. You know me better than to call me Mrs. Quartermaine.''
Johnny couldn't help but laugh. ''Ok CARLY...You're here to see Sonny right?'' he asked, knowing she knew Jason was away on business.
Carly paused, wondering if she should just leave now, he didn't want to see her anyway. ''Eh...yeah, tell him I am here.''
Johnny opened the door to the penthouse. ''Carly Quartermaine is here.''
Sonny looked up from his desk surprised to know she would come back. ''Let her in.'' He quickly ran a hand through his wavy dark hair, which wasn't geld back as it normally was.
Carly appeared shyly at the door. ''Hey.''
''Hi''
Carly walked in, the door closing behind her. She thought fast of an excuse to why she was here. ''Umm...I...I came by yesterday to ask you something...I guess I didn't get a chance to ask you it.''
Sonny raised an eyebrow then walked towards the bar and poured himself a drink.
''I just wanted to know if you heard from Jason yet...you know it's been a while since he left and I was just wondering if you know when he is going to be back.'' She walked up beside him and poured herself a glass of water, waiting for a reply.
He swallowed his drink and stared straight into nothing. ''Even if I heard anything, what makes you think I'd tell you?'' He replied. He couldn't look at her. It would just make him want her more. He couldn't let himself be the slightest bit nice to her because it wasn't supposed to be like that. Like what? Like he actually felt something more than dislike for her. He dropped his head and looked in his glass.
Carly just stared at him. Had she just imagined the whole scenario yesterday, when she felt something for him. When she thought he actually felt something too. Was she the only one who felt something.
Silence. Something she could never experience at the Quartermaine Mansion. Something she longed for at time and dreaded at other times. Like this one.
Carly placed her hand on top of his, which was resting on the bar. ''I came here to see how you were. If your hand was okay.'' She paused, surprised he didn't oppose to her gesture.
He turned to face here. They stood close together. So close he could hear her breathe. Could smell the scene of her fragrance. ''I am fine...thank you.'' He said softly. So soft he was surprised she had heard.
Carly moved an inch closer to him...If that was possible. She stared straight into his deep brown eyes. ''I was worried about you.'' She trailed her fingers along his jawline.
Sonny titled his head to the side, unaware of what he was about to do. He leaned his head forward brushing his lips against hers. He then moved back to stare straight into her eyes.
Carly dived back into his mouth. She wanted more. She needed more.
Sonny's hands trailed down the back of her shirt then up into her shirt to feel the smoothness of her skin.
He bent down a bit to rub himself against her. She groaned in pleasure. Sonny's lips moved from hers and began to explore her neck when the phone rang.
The both jumped slightly, startled. They moved apart quickly, both confused at what had just happened.
''I...I better go.'' She stuttered without looking at him. She wiped the sides of her lips and rushed out the door.
Sonny straightened out his shirt and finally picked up the ever ringing phone. ''What?!'' he asked into the line.
