chapter 9 Its been two months since Ramel has been arrested. Nikolas and Gia started to date and are falling in love. Some people are happy about this union and some not so happy. "Mama, you should have seen them a couple of months ago. He was giving her a tongue bath. I mean when exactly did they get together if Gia was on a trip" Taggert said in Florence's apartment as he and Hannah picked her up to go to Gia's dance performance. "I think its cute" Florence said with a smile. "When did they get together?" Taggert said. "Gia shouldn't get involved with Cassidine's" he said. "Marcus give him a chance" Hannah said. "Nikolas is the nicest Cassidine yet" Florence said. "I don't care Mama. The rest of his family isn't. His grandmother, his uncle, his aunt who is a mobsters lawyer." Taggert said strongly. "Marcus maybe there's something in Nikolas that you don't see but Gia does" Florence said. "He's coming to the show tonight. So be nice to him" she said. Taggert rolled his eyes. "This has been the time of my life" Nikolas thought as he drove to PCU. In the past months Gia and Nikolas have been spending a lot of time together. He got out his car and saw that the university was packed with people. "Nikolas!" Kyle waved. "Gia's in her dressing room" he yelled. "I hope I do a good job hosting tonight" he said. "You will. Thanx" Nikolas said. "Oh God and hour before showtime. I hope he comes" Gia thought. She began to brush her hair when she heard a knock. "Coming" she said and opened it to see a bunch of red roses. "Guess who" Nikolas said. Gia screamed "Nikolas!" and hugged him. "I didn't know if you were going to show up" she said. "I wouldn't miss seeing my baby on stage" he said and gave her a peck on the cheek. "Are you nervous" he asked. "Yes," she replied. "You'll do fine. Your mom, you brother and I will be there. So will Lucky and the gang. Cheering for you" he said holding her. Just then Taggert, Hannah, and Florence walked in. "Gia just wanted to wish you.…" Taggert said as he saw Nikolas holding Gia. Nikolas let go with a smile and said "Good evening Mrs. Cambell. Good evening Taggert., Hannah" "Good evening Nikolas" Florence said. "Gia where did you get those flowers! Their beautiful" she said. "Nikolas got them for me" Gia said. "Of course" Taggert said to himself. "Well, you should get to your seats" Gia said. "I have to get dress" she said. "OK Gia" Florence said and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Break a leg" Taggert said and gave her a hug and started to leave. "You'll do great baby" Nikolas said and gave her a hug. Taggert looked on. Gia then touched his face and kissed him. "Lets go I want good seats" Hannah said. "Baby?" Taggert thought and walked away. "Nikolas!" Emily yelled and she and Juan walked into the auditorium. "Hey Em" Nikolas said walking up to them. Gia and Emily came to an understanding about the blackmail. "There's Lucky and Liz" Juan said as he took Emily's hand and let her to one of the rows. Nikolas began to follow them. "Hi Nikolas" Liz said. "How is Gia?" Lucky said reading the program. "She's nervous" Nikolas said. "She's the one of the best dancer's in the program" Emily said. "Its about to start" Liz said. "Hey PCU you wanna have some fun tonight" Kyle said from the stage. Crowds of people screamed "Yea!" "Our first performance is a Tribute to the MTV Video Music Awards. The dancers are Tina Lane, Justin Augirre, Shawn Bennet, Madeline Krane, and Gia Cambell." he said and walked off the stage. People started cheering out the dancers names. A lot were calling out Gia! Those people included her family and friends. The stage was dark for a few seconds then the lights light came up. There was a girl in the middle, one boy and one girl behind her. Then a boy and a girl in front of her. They were all wearing and leather suits. The one in the middle had a blonde wig on. They all had their heads down. "Which one is Gia?" Nikolas wondered. "My loneliness is Killing me" the music started and all their heads came up. "Gia's impersonating Brittany Spears" Liz said laughing. "Hit me baby one more time. Oh baby! Oh baby!" Gia lip-synched through the mic as her and the other dancers started to dance. Gia started to moved and act like Brittany Spears. Nikolas couldn't take his eyes off her. "Hit me baby one more time" Gia said as she and the other dancers posed. The crowd went wild. "Wow that was really good" Lucky said to Nikolas. "Yea, I knew that she would be great" Nikolas said. After intermission and everybody was seated Kyle began again. "OK, guys before we get back to the show I wanted to give some shout outs to the dancers and choreographers" he said. "I want to give a shout out to our lovely dance teacher and supervisor Ms. Covey. Mr. Frank for music. The PCU Chorus. I want to give a shout out to all the dancers. Especially the choreographers Tina, Justin, Karla, Alison, Sean, Beverly, Damion, Kelly, Iris, and Gia. Kyle said. Kyle turned and saw Gia behind the curtains. "And look here's one of them now. Come out here girl" he said as he yanked Gia out. Liz and Emily started to yell "Gia" Nikolas just smiled at her. "Everybody this is Gia. The black Brittany" he said as everybody laughed. Gia grabbed the mic from Kyle and said "Don't you have something to do. Instead of grabbing the choreographers. Maybe I should be host" Everybody laughed. "I'll introduce the next segment. Ladies and Gentlemen here's the PCU chorus with "Good-bye" she started to say as she started to run. Kyle started to chase her around the stage. When he caught her he said "I'm the damn host!" He grabbed the mic from Gia. The audience laughed even harder. "Here's the PCU chorus with 'Good-bye" Kyle said as he and Gia walked off stage. Before walking off Gia gave a wink at Nikolas and he smiled at her. Taggert watched both of them from his seat. "This is the finale. All three art departments work together in this segment." Lucky said reading from the program. "People are you ready for the finale!" Kyle yelled. The crowd cheered. "OK the art, dance, and drama departments collaborated to perform an excerpt form the musical Chicago. Enjoy" Kyle said as the crowd clapped. After the finale was over, all three departments came back out and took a bow. The crowd gave a standing obviation. Kyle and Gia came out with mic in their hand. "Hope you have a nice time. The money that every one of you spent tonight will be divided in the three departments thanx for your contribution" Kyle said. "Wait. We didn't thank everybody" Gia said. "Kyle looked at her confused and said 'Who?" "Come on lets give our host a big hand for doing a great job" Gia said as she clapped. Kyle smiled and said "Thanx. See you back here next year but for now goodnight!" Everybody that was on the stage waved and left. The crowd was cheering. "Hey Gia you were great" Kyle said as he took a sip form his soda. "It was nice of Ms. Covey to do this party for us after the show" he said. "Thanx, so were you" Gia said as she gave him a hug. "Nikolas couldn't take his eyes off you" Kyle said with a smirk. Gia just smiled. "Gia that was so good!" Emily said as she, Juan, Lucky, and Liz walked up to her. "I'm glad all of you liked it" Gia said. "My baby girl the star!" Florence said running up to her. "Can I get your autograph Gia?" Taggert said giving her a hug. "You're so talented" Hannah said. Gia smiled "Where's Nikolas?" she thought. "Is my girlfriend 'the celebrity" here?" Nikolas said walking up to her. "You were amazing. I'm so proud of you" he said and kissed her. Taggert rolled his eyes. Hannah and Florence tapped him. "The funniest parts was when you were imitating Brittany Spears and when you and Kyle were fighting over who was going to be host. Was that planned?" Nikolas asked. "No. After that we got in trouble with Mr. Frank about it. He was already having problems with Kyle and me." Gia said with a laugh. "You had me fooled" Nikolas said and hugged her. Taggert interrupted them and said "What are you planning on doing now Gia?" "There's going to be a party in a couple of minutes in the indoor gym near to the auditorium. Everybody's welcome to come." Gia said. "OK that sounds like a plan" Lucky said as Gia took Nikolas's hand.
Chapter10 "Gia your dance was so off the hook!" a girl said as Gia and Nikolas walked into the gym. "Thanx. Linda this is my boyfriend Nikolas. Nikolas Linda." Gia said. "Hi, nice to meet you" Nikolas said. " Nice to meet you" Linda said. "What did Mr. Frank say to you and Kyle?" she asked. "That why would we pull a juvenile stunt like that. And we ruined the show. Same things that he was saying in rehearsal's" Gia said rolling her eyes. "I'll talk to you lata. Nice meeting you Nikolas" Linda said and walked away. "Do you want to leave?" Gia said. "Why? We just got here" Nikolas said. "I mean, I'm going to be introducing to all my friends all night." Gia said. "Thats good I want to know them" Nikolas said as he held her. "Hi Gia! Its over!" a girl said to her. "I know!" Gia said and gave her a hug. "Madleine, this is my boiyfriend Nikolas" she said. "This is the boyfriend! Wow he's cute!" Madeline said and shook his hand. "Thankyou" Nikolas said with a laugh. "Gia, I could finally get some sleep. My God! I love doing these shows but it takes a lot out of a girl. I started falling asleep in class!" Madeline said. Gia and Nikolas started laughing. "I'll see you in class Madeline." Gia said as her and Nikolas started to walk away. "I like her. Her name was Linda right?" Nikolas said. "No Madeline! I told you that your were going to get mixed up." Gia laughed. "You're a popular girl. I'll know them all soon." Nikolas said with a smile as he gave Gia a can of soda. "These kids really worked hard on this show" Hannah said as she danced with Taggert. "I know they did a really good job" he said. Taggert look to his right and saw Gia sitting on Nikolas's lap. He started to listen to their conversation. "Marcus leave them alone. Their fine" Hannah said and pulled him close to him. "I want to give you something." Nikolas said. "Come on lets go outside" Gia said taking his hand. "Gia, I just wanted to give you something to show you how much you mean to me" Nikolas said. He then pulled out a necklace case and handed it to Gia. Gia opened it and said "Its beautiful". It was a gold necklace with a heart pendant. Inside the heart pendant there was a picture of Gia and Nikolas. "You took the picutre from the photo booth at the carnival." Gia aid very touched. "Thankyou" Gia said as Nikolas put it on her. She kissed him. He held her for a few seconds and said "I guess we should go back inside" "Hannah can you see where they went?" Taggert asked as they walked into the parking lot. "Who?" Hannah said. "Gia and Nikolas" he said. "They're right there" Hannah said as Gia and Nikolas walked out and to Lucky, Liz, Juan, and Emily. Taggert turned to see them. "Hey guys" Gia said with a smile. "Had a good time?" she asked. "Yea, your friends are so funny" Lucky said. "Who is going to take you home?" Nikolas asked. "Marcus said that he'll drop me off" Gia said. "I'll walk you to the car" he said. "I'm loving life right now. I have a good job, good friends, family, and most important you" Gia said to Nikolas as they walked to Taggert's car. Nikolas kissed her and pulled her closer. "I never want to leave your arms" Gia said. Nikolas kissed her again but now at her lips and her neck. Gia giggled "Stop" Nikolas did it again "Stop" Nikolas stopped. "Why did you stop" Gia said. Nikolas laughed. He kissed her neck again. Taggert looked on and thought "Enough is enough" "That is it! You and Him its over!" Taggert said walking up to them. "Marcus what are you doing?" Gia said. "I should be asking you that same question Gia. Don't you know the how much danger your in. He's a Cassidine!" Taggert yelled. "Taggert listen! I'm not like the rest of family. I care for Gia" Nikolas started to say. "Like you cared of Katherine Bell. Gia did you know about that?" Taggert replied. "Yes Marcus I did know that. Me and Nikolas don't keep secrets from each other" Gia yelled. "Tell me something Nikolas, what are you going to do when your grandmother knows about Gia and isn't pleased about your relationship?" Tagger t said. "This isn't helping anybody" Lucky began to say. "Stay out of this Spencer" Taggert yelled. "I'll protect her" Nikolas replied. "Bottom line is that this relationship is over" Taggert said. "When did you start caring about me or mama! You been too busy with Hannah and work to have time for us. Not even a phone call Marcus! Now you want to decide who I could be with!" she yelled. "Whats going on here!" Florence said as she approached them. "Mama, this relationship has to be stopped" Taggert said. Florence shooked her head and said "Its late. I think that it will do everybody good if they just went home and slept about it." "Ok thats fine with me" Tagget said. Gia nodded and walked to Nikolas. "Don't worry. He can't do this to us." Nikolas said as he held her and was about to kiss her good bye. "I'm coming with you" Gia said and grabbed his hand. "Gia come here. Don't make this hard." Taggert said approaching them. "No Marcus, I'm going home with Nikolas. You can't stop me" Gia said angrily. "Gia, listen I don't want to get between you and your brother. Maybe you should go with him." Nikolas began to say. "No me and Marcus never got along and this was just a reminder why" Gia said very angry with tears streaming down her face. "Gia please calm down" Florence said. "I wanna go home" Gia said tirely to Nikolas. "Mrs.Cambell I'll take you and Gia home" Nikolas said. "Thats a good idea. I'll talk to you tomarrow Marcus" Florence said and gave her son a peck on the cheek. "Gia just think about what I said" Taggert said as Gia walked away. "You really done it now Taggert" Lucky said as he got into Juan's car followed by Liz and Emily. "Thankyou" Gia said as Nikolas held the door for her as the entered her apartment. "No problem" Nikolas said sitting down on Gia's couch. Gia smiled and looked at a picture on the coffee table. Tt was her and Taggert when they were kids playing in the snow. She took it and turned it the other way and. Nikolas noticed this and said "Gia, why are you so angry with your brother?" "Because he trying to get between us Nikolas." Gia said. "I know that but there's more to it. You were very angry when you spoke to him" Nikolas said. "He always has to criticize everything that I do. And that he hurt my mother so much when he decided to become a cop. We needed him when Dad left and he wasn't there. And now that I'm finally happy he has to go and ruined it becuase things aren't going his way." Gia said as she was about to cry but turned away from Nikolas. "I don't need him. He wasn't there for me then I don't need him now" Gia said holding the picture. She than threw it in the garbage. Nikolas sighed and said "Listen from someone who knows, you don't want to have a bad relationship with your brother." He then touch her face. "I don't want any kind of relationship with him" Gia said through her tears. "Yes you do. When me and Lucky used to hate each other, I secretly wanted to have a better relationship with him. We were hurting ourselves, our friends, and family. You don't want that" Nikolas said wiping her tears. "Why is there always some obstacle for me" Gia said then started to laugh. Nikolas looked at her and said "Whats so funny?" "I mean, there is always something that makes me feel bad now I have the opportunity to make me feel good" Gia said kissing his neck. "Gia what are you doing" Nikolas said trying to control himself. "What does it look like?" Gia said kissing him. "Gia, don't try and change the subject please" Nikolas said and then let out a moan. "Make love to me" Gia said as Nikolas began to kiss her passionately. Nikolas led her to the couch and began to kiss her neck. "Are you sure?" he said. "Yes, take me away from everything please" Gia said. Nikolas released her from another passionate kiss and then looked up at her. When he finally caught his breath he said "No this this is wrong." "I want you" Gia said trying to convice him. "Your're very upset right now. Your in pain you want me to take that away. I want our first time to be special. I know you do too. Having you in my arms is good enough" Nikolas said and held her. "I can't believe that Jamal set me up" Ramel thought as he was back in Rikers Prison. A guard walked up to him form his cell and said "this is for you" He handed him a box. Ramel opened it and it revealed a gas mask and a not saying :put this on now. Ramel put the mask on and saw that the guard also had a mask and opened his cell. "Lets go" the guard aid to Ramel. As they walked outside Ramel removed his mask and said asked "Who are you?" "The guard took off his hat and said " An employee of Helena Cassidine."
