This page is about Cecil, the newest addition to our family. First, i want to make one major thing clear: We did not adopt Cecil as a "replacement" for our beloved Squeaker (*sob*); i'm not sure about the rest of my family, but i consider Cecil almost like the spirit of Squeaker coming back to watch over us. Cecil was a stray who started showing up at our house about three days before Squeaker passed away. I went outside and hung around him for a while -- he was such an affectionate thing, i adored him from the moment i saw him. After several weeks of him showing up, first very little, then every day, we decided to adopt him -- i want to let everyone know that i support the adoption of stray animals. Make sure that your cats are neutered and spayed so that the number of stray cats isn't as high... you can make a difference! -- He behaves much the way Squeaker did, and sometimes, when he's sitting on my bed next to me, he'll look up and just for a moment, i'll see Squeaker in his eyes. He loves to sprawl himself out across doorways, i'm assuming that he likes to be the center of attention. It makes me a little nervous when he sprawls himself out across the stairs, but we (my family and i) just warn eachother when he's lying there and all goes well. Hopefully, i will soon get a scanner so that i can put up pictures of B.C., Millie, Cecil, Squeaker, and Sal (the dog).
