My Views on The Man with the Golden Gun
This movie is really close to my heart. It was the very first Bond movie I ever owned and I watched it over and over and since I still have not gotten bored of it, it is obviously a top favorite. I love the oriental setting in this entire movie (other than that scene in Beirut). The setting in Hong Kong is absolutely awesome, as well as Bangkok. The story is a little off the beaten track of most Bond movies, but it still displays somewhat of a solid story. The comedic relief of Sheriff J.W. Pepper (returning from Live and Let Die) was definetely not needed and actually would have made the movie more powerful. Besides, there was already comedic relief from the midget, Nick Nack. All in all, a great Bond movie.
