My Views on Diamonds Are Forever
It's a terrific movie. It was so great that Sean Connery could come back for one last Bond film. Diamonds Are Forever is interesting because of how the story develops and how Bond is this alternate person in part of the film (pretending to be diamond smuggler Peter Franks). The characters are quite extrordinary as a there is a wide variety of people including Bert Saxby, Shady Tree, Kidd & Wint, Morton Slumber, etc. Of course, Blofeld is a different actor and it makes no sense. What was wrong with Donald Pleasence, who played Blofeld in You Only Live Twice. Whatever. Diamonds Are Forever is full of chases and a sweet fight scene between Bond and the real Peter Franks.
