Yet another World Junior Championship alumnus. McCauley didn't have such a great season last year, because he was injured, but he is excepted to step up to the next level this year. But recent tests for his concussion were inconclusive, so his career might be in jeopardy. :(

Notes:
This is out of the Summer 1999 edition of the Roots Reporter:
My Style: "I like to stand out - to be different. For instance, when we're travelling for away games, I'm in asuit and tie...but not just any old tie. I like the boldly-coloured ones with a sheen to the finish; you know, the ones that kind of change colour as you move them."
My Favourite Roots Item: "While my Roots Maple Lefas stuff is great, my favourite piece of Roots has got to be my Michael's Coat. The soft black leather looks great and the versatile style allows me to dress it up or down. I've worn the coat with jeans or my suits, and either way, it looks great."
My Favourite Roots Memory: "That's easy. I'm engaged now but when I first met Nicole, I was playing junior hockey in Kingston, Ontario. Nicole lived above the Kingston Roots store and I can remember that while we were dating she and I would wander into the store quite often. Even though I loved the official NHL Player's Association merchandise that Roots had, but I felt too embarrassed to buy it then. I was thinking, 'What if I don't make it to the NHL?'"
Most Embarrassing Moment: "In my first season in the NHL in 1997-97, during a line change my skate got caught on the boards as I wnet over. Needless to say, I did a major face plant on national television. I gues I hoped no one had noticed, but it was several weeks before I heard the end of that goof-up."
