Circle Of Friendship

~~Jenna~~

We drove threw Florida for what seemed like forever. We finally got to the beautiful beach house my grandmother had left for me when she passed away last year. "Jenna, it's huge!" Calie said with wide eyes and parked the car in the driveway next to the house. She shut it off. "Come on, I'm dying to see it!" She said and jumped out of the car. I fallowed behind her and unlocked the door when I got to it. I slowly opened it and when we walked in the first thing I noticed was that it needed alot of cleaning. Sheets covered the furniture and the dust seemed to be thick on everything. "Come on I'll give ya a tour." I told her leading her to the right into the living room. We walked strait threw the living room into the dinning room. Then we turned right to go to the kitchen, but befor we got to it Calie saw the sliding glass doors that lead out back to the beach. She opened the doors and stepped out on to the deck. "Jenna, this is so nice. I already love it here." She said with a big smile. "Lets go upstairs and I'll show you your room." I told her. So we back to the front door where the stairs were to go up. There were three bedrooms and two had bathrooms.

We managed to drag all our heavy bags in the house and went back to the car to go get cleaning suplies. "Do you know anyone around here?" Calie asked me rolling down her window. "Not realy. I did know the people next door, but I think they moved." "Realy, well maybe we'll get lucky and a couple of hotties will move in." "Uhh, don't count on it. One thing I didn't mention is that it's mostly old people that live around here." "That sucks." Calie said pouting. "Don't worry there will be hotties at the beach down the road." I assured her. We got back from the store and cleaned for hours. We then decided to go to bed and unpack in the morning.

We got up early and spent a few hours unpacking and settling in. Then we took the sandwitches mom made down to the beach. "This is so nice Jenna. Hotties or not I'm gonna love it here." Just after she said that she looked to the left and saw a "hottie". "He's hott!" Calie said pulling her sun glasses down to see better. "How can you even tell? He's wearing a hat and sun glasses." "Jenna, you can see his body." He was kinda short and a little stocky wearing shorts and a t-shirt walking with a dog and I could see the little bit of dirty blonde hair coming out the side of his hat. "Wait. Where'd he go?" Calie said turning to find him gone. "Well damn." She said and I just laughed.

We spent most of the day at the beach. At about six we decided to go in befor we were burned to a crisp. Calie went to the store for food and I stayed behind to take a shower. After my shower I put on boxers and a tank top thinking it didn't matter how I look, I wasn't going any where. I went down stairs and sat on the couch. I turned on the tv and a few minutes later I heard some kind of pounding coming from the side of the house. "It sounds like a basketball." I thought to myself. I walked over to the window and looked out side. Then I heard someone yell. "Nice shot!" I looked in the direction the yell came from and saw two guys playing basketball in my driveway. I walked at a fast past, a little annoyed to the front door. I walked up to the driveway and stopped. I stood there for a minute and they didn't even notice me. "Excuse me?" I said annoyed. They both stopped dead in thier tracks. Befor turning around they both pulled down thier caps they had on, as if they were trying to hide thier face. "These guys are kinda wierd." I thought to myself. When they turned around I recognized one of them as the "hottie" from the beach. The other guy was rather tall and I could see blonde hair sticking out from the side of his cap. "What are you doing?" I asked. Both of them kept their heads down, not looking at me. Without saying a word the tall guy walked away and into the house next door. "I'm sorry, I didn't know anyone was staying here." The "hottie" told me still without looking at me. "You didn't notice the lights on in the house?" I asked him. "No. It's just been so long since anyone lived here, I wasn't paying attention." "So, umm, why don't you have a hoop?" "Well, we did..." He looked up at me and then quickly looked back down. "but N- my friend pulled it down. We havn't got a new one yet." "Well, I guess I don't mind if you play here, but be careful. My friend will be back soon and she's a crazy driver." "Alrighty." He said with a little laugh and I turned to walk away. I heard him shoot the ball and I turned back around. "Just don't rip it down. I like to play too." And with that I went back into the house.

~~Calie~~ When I got back from the store I pulled into the driveway rather fast (I have a lead foot problem). Halfway into the driveway I saw a couple of guys so I slammed on the breaks. "Are you guys ok?" I asked jumping out of the car. "Yeah, man your friend was right. You are a crazy driver." One of the guys said. "Hey, I didn't know anyone was going to be in the driveway." "Your friend said it was ok for us to play here." The guys started playing again and I stood there watching for a second. Just as I was going to turn away I recognized one of them. "You look familiar to me." I said to the guy shooting the ball. "That's impossable." He said not looking at me. As I was taking the groceries into the house it hit me, he was the "hottie" from the beach.

~~Jenna~~ Calie came in and I took a couple of the bags from her. We took them to the kitchen and started putting things away. "Why are those guys playing in our driveway?" She asked putting away a box of cerial. "One of them tore down thier hoop I guess." "That one guy is the "hottie" from the beach, right?" "Yeah, they seem kinda wierd to me." "Me too." We finished putting the gorceries away and Calie went to take a shower while I cooked some dinner. After we ate it was about nine thirty. We went to the couch and decided to watch a movie. We put in Ghost (Calie's favorite). Half way threw the movie we both fell asleep. We were both wakened with a jump when we heard very loud pounding. When we came to we realized someone was playing the drums. It was so loud, it sounded as if they were on our front porch. "What the hell? Don't they realize it's late?" I said angrily and walked to the front door. "I'm kinda wishing our neighbors were old people. These guys are going to be annoying." Calie said fallowing behind me. We went outside and walked next door to the rude neighbors. The closer we got the louder it got. I knocked on the door and no one came. I knocked again, only alot louder. The banging stoped and we heard whispers. "Who is it man? Are you excpecting someone?" "No, peek out the window." After I heard that I stuck my face in the window. I saw the curtian open and then I saw the one and only Brian Littrell stick his face in the window. I startled him and he jumped back. With my eyes and mouth wide open I turned to Calie. "What?" She said, but befor I could answer Brian opened the door with no hat knowing I saw his face clearly in the window. "Uhh, hi." He said and flashed a nervous looking smile. Me and Calie both stood there speachless untill she nudged me a little. "Do you know what time it is?" I asked him. "Yeah, it's 10:45." He answered looking a little confused. I finally got over the shock and got my attitude back from the late night drumming session. "Your drum playing just woke me." "Oh that was him." He said pointing to Nick who was standing off to the side. "He'll stop." "Thank you." I said and me and Calie walked off the porch. "Ok, I take back wanting old people to live next to us." Calie whispered with a giggle. "Hey wait." Brian said walking up behind us. So we stoped and turned around. I noticed Nick standing in the open door way. "What?" I asked him, this time without attitude. "Well since we are neighbors I was thinking we should all formally introduce ourselvs." Me and Calie intoruced ourselvs and then Brian did. "I'm Brian and that's Nick. But I guess you probably know that huh?" He said pointing to the house. "Yes." Calie answered "He's a little shy." Brian whispered. As we lightly giggled I looked up to see Nick going into the house. "I'm sorry I scarred you in the window." I told him. "Ya know, you almost gave me a heartattack." He said and laughed a little. Lightning flashed and it started to lightly rain. "Well we better get back in our houses. It was nice to meet you ladies." "You too." We said in unison and went back inside.

When we got in the house we just looked at each other and laughed. "I can't believe they are our neighbors." Calie said still looking a little shocked. "I know!" It was getting late and we wanted to be up early to go job hunting so we went to bed.

I layed down in bed and could here the rain tapping on my window. I love that sound, so relaxing, peaceful. Then something a little wierd happened. As soon as I closed my eyes I saw Nick standing in the doorway to his house and I fell asleep.
