The History

Alys Nalanthi was the daughter of King Jakob
and Queen Jessika Nalanthi, sister of Kerrek, Reno, and Gavin Nalanthi. However, Alys was not of
true Nalanthi blood. Only the original three brothers were. She had been graciously taken in by the
family. She was labeled a goddess because of her beauty and way of handling certain
situations. She was also a sorceress, learning magic from Kerrek. Her fighting abilities range at a high level also, higher than that of her magic abilities. Her very first weapon was a pair of gloves. This pair of simple but lethal clawed gloves were handed down to her from her mother Jessika. The gloves were specailly constucted for Jessika. Like her
mother, Alys was a great magic user. The gloves allowed the magic to flow strong in Alys
easily, channeling the power to her mind more easily. At one point in the Nalanthi family
history, Alys' two older brothers, Reno and Gavin, were discovered due to Jessika having
various unknown affairs. At the time, Alys knew nothing of the chaos taking place at her
home. She had been banned from the castle. This was normal to her though, since she had
been banned and nearly killed by her younger brother Kerrek twice before. She was
outragged when she learned of her mother being slain by her very own brother, Kerrek
Nalanthi. She immediately returned home, even though she was not permitted to do so. Alys
challenged her brother to a fight to the death as soon as she arrived at the castle,
hoping to avenge her mother's horrible death. Kerrek, now Lord of the castle and ruling
over the other members of the family, looked at this fight as an oppertunity to get Alys
out of the family for good. She didn't know what she was getting herself into. She teased
and mocked him, till he was enraged with her. The long and grueling battle between the
siblings began... Alys had been trained as well in the art of hand to hand, weapon to weapon
combat. She faught well, but her brother's harsh, nearly unbearable attacks were causing
her to suffer greatly. Three times she fell and three times Kerrek nearly killed her. But
Alys wouldn't give in to death quite yet. She was crazed and meraculously struck back at
him all three times. Alys relentlessly kept attacking, and driven by rage, her attacks
grew more devastating. Kerrek's patients were wearing thin. He had put up with her long
enough; it was time for magic... He pulled a hand back to the side of his head, a glow
starting to illuminate from his hand. A cruel smile started to form on his lips. Alys on
the other hand stood back from him, and watched him for a split second before raising both
of her gloved hands above her head. Kerrek concentrated hard, as did Alys. Both were
masters of magic. She pulled her hands down and with them came a bluish white mist that
surrounded her arms and quickly engulfed her form. She quickly stretched out a hand, blew
a long cold breath across it, and then again lifted her hands to the air. Kerrek watched
as a prison of solid ice rose up around him. The glowing aurora on his hand dimmed as he
reached for Elysdeon again, channeling the magic spell into his beloved sword. He changed
the direction of all his thoughts into the weapon and it began to glow. Alys' hands above
her head constricted and a massive ball of ice she had just constructed hurled towards
Kerrek still concealed in his ice prison. Kerrek knew that this attack was coming and the
glowing Elysdeon spun in a deadly circle, shattering the cold mass of ice which contained
him and sending it flying. At the same time, he bolted forward to escape his sister's
magic attack. Holding the sword out to his side, he charged Alys, who was unprepared for
the attack. Kerrek swung at a low left, hitting her right leg above the knee, and nearly
cutting her lower leg off from the rest. She collapsed, quite defeated.... Kerrek,
suprisingly enough, had mercy on his sister and carried her into the castle where her leg
was somewhat successfully repaired, leaving her with a prosthetic knee and little feeling
left in her right leg. She couldn't continue her studies and so resided at her rightful
home in the Nalanthi Castle. Here, she learned of her mother having the affairs and
understood the need for them to be taken from the throne. Finally, after all the
confusion, bickering, and defeat, Alys decided fight alongside her three brothers and the
rest of the Nalanthi family.

Alys Nalanthi is... a hard piece! She's been through it all, or at least almost.... She was origionally accepted into the family because Kerrek had a certain fondness for her, which quickly led up to their marriage. It was perfect at first. The love for fighting, the love for ruling, the love for each other... They often fought later on, and Alys-more than once-threatened to leave the castle. This, of course, was unnecassary. Anyone who would just leave the family was threatened to die. Leaving was not an option. Alys, of course, never left formally. Although she did end up 'out of the family' after some certain events.

     Lord Ryul Hotakc had waged war against the Nalanthis. Now, for some reason, Alys didn't know about this strange turn of events. She had gone to talk to him and he killed her... but he ressed her after a mere 2 or 3 days. He did this in hopes of Alys killing Kerrek. She, being threatened either way and seemingly knowing she would die, accepted.

      Alys knew she couldn't kill Kerrek for two reasons. He was a much better fighter than she could ever be. And... she somehow still loved him. Alys was accepted back into the family. She told all of her brothers and sisters of her intentions, but also stated she'd not be able to do it. While Alys was 'lounging' in a tavern one night, Kerrek attacked her, but didn't kill her. Instead, he left a deep wound across her chest which bothered her everytime she saw him or thought of him. Later on, Gavin and Alys began to talk. She learned of his true intentions and plans for the family and quickly agreed with him.

     Days later, one stormy night, Kerrek went insane, literally. He stormed out of the castle and then came back to kill Alys. Getting hurt in the process, Gavin bravely protected her. Unfortunately, that didn't stop Kerrek's hatred for his 'ex wife'. He succeeded in killing her a day or so later. He used his psionics to weaken her from an old wound and then her own dropped weapon to nearly kill her. She lied half dead: cut across and down the chest, left arm nearly cut off, and nearly sliced in half with her own battle axe blades enlodged in her side. Gavin saved her from complete demise, but she was to weak and her body was too demolished to heal, in her own eyes. As Gavin kneeled beside her, she handed him a long knife which he knew not what to do with. She took his hands and pulled with what strength she had left, just to end the pain and her life, once and for all. Alys was finally dead and her body was buried in the flower garden. Her soul was taken and held by Gavin...

     Kerrek was finally relieved... somewhat, but the family was split. Gavin wanted to take the family, while Kerrek still had control. Then Out of nowhere, Kyreanta-Alys' unknown, older, half dead sister- came to avenge what family she had left... and was suddenly taken. Kyreanta had a bad attitude and not-so-good intentions which none of the Nalanthis particularly liked. Kerrek tried killing her more than once and she did finally die by Gavin's hand. Gavin had been prepping orbs of holy while Kyreanta was in a debate with Breezy. Gavin prepped as though he was going to attack Breezy, but instead attacked Kyreanta, who had no way of defending herself against Holy, something that would easily and instantly destroy what life she had left. She died quickly, falling to the floor. What Gavin had done was summoned Alys' soul and it entered Kyreanta's body. Alys was officially ressed into her sister's form.

     Kerrek was finally killed by Gavin and Thray a few days later. Gavin had taken rule over the castle soon after. After several weeks of Kerrek's absence, he was finally brought back, but Thray had other ideas. Kerrek was nothing but a shade of his former self. "What have I become?" he repeated over and over as Thray recounted his dastardly deeds. Kerrek, now in his early thirties, was aged from being on the astral plane. He talked with many of the most famous of all time warriors, mages, and psychics, and became extremely powerful there. However, when being ressed, Thray intervened and channeled Kerrek's power into a crystal orb, rendering him nearly powerless. Using his remaining strength, Kerrek trapped him and crushed him, but couldn't get the ball before it shattered to pieces. As his power was rushing out, Kerrek summoned his energy and dove on the ball to absorb the rest of the energy. He was restored to his former self, and actually still a bit more powerful than before. Now he is back, older, very wise, and a little stronger. Once more, he is in charge along with Gavin.

  What will happen next is an empty book to be filled...
