Hi! My name is Coryn Spiers (pronounced Corrin Spears). Welcome to my web page.
I was born in 1975 and I live in Christchurch, New Zealand. My hobbies are VW Beetles (the original one, I can't stand the new one), computers and surfing the 'Net. I decided to combine my hobbies into making a web site.
I have liked VW Beetles since I was about eight years old when I saw an unusual looking car with a strange sounding motor. Because I had been living in smallish towns (I had just shifted to Auckland), I had never seen one before. I guess the reason I like them so much is for those reasons: strange sounding motor and unusual looking car.
I have owned two so far: a 1968 model I bought in 1995 caught fire for some unknown reason after only being mine for 2 months and a 1969 which I bought in 1998 which is off the road waiting for a new crank shaft.
I have two sisters living in the States whom I am trying to convince into sending me some VW Beetle paraphanalia (especially toys) to add to my collection. At present count I have 207 VW Beetles in my display cabinets which includes two erasers, 6 paper clips, a metal pencil case, two money boxes, a car air freshener, a couple of key rings, a cookie jar, a toilet roll holder, some hair clips and a school bag.
My computer is slowly being transformed with a VW desktop wallpaper, screen savers, icons and cursors: some of which can be downloaded using the link on my Links Page.
