Chapter 9

“What room is this?” I asked him looking around.

“This is a private room where we can come and relax before a performance.” Brian told me.

I looked around and could tell that this was a private room. There was a TV in the corner with a Nintendo 64 and a Sega Dreamcast hooked to it. In the opposite corner, there was a small basketball hoop. Then there were books, magazines and potato chip bags all scattered around some tables, and chairs.

We took a seat on the couch at the side of the room. “Ok, I have one question to ask. Why me?” I asked.

Brian smiled at me. “This afternoon I was in my hotel room. I wanted to get out of there because I was so board. I was looking out my window which looked out to the mall. I saw you and your friends walking out of the mall. I saw you and instantly liked you. I wanted to meet you and see if I could get your name. I ran out of the room to the parking lot, and ran into you. Before I literally bumped into you, I heard that you and your friends were going to Schlotzsky’s Deli I also went. I got a table where you couldn’t see me, yet I could see you. I found out all your names from the conversations you were having. I decided that I wanted to play a little trick on you and your friends. The guys agreed and I called you down in the concert. Were you surprised?”

I laughed. “Was I? You should have seen my face, Bobbie’s too. We were white as ghosts. When the rest of my friends found out that it was us you were calling down, they looked the same way. Nothing like this has ever happened to me. I have never been so shocked or bewildered at the same time.”

Brian smiled, “Well does this mean that you will go out with me? I can get changed, and after I sign some things and talk to the people with backstage passes, I can take you out to a late dinner.”

I took in a deep breath. I would have never thought that Brian Littrell would ever like me, and now I am here sitting with him after he just asked me out on a date. “That would be great.” I told him.

After we talked, we went back out of the room to go find my friends. I couldn’t wait to tell them about my date with Brian. When we met up with them, they were still talking to the rest of the guys.

“Um, Bobbie.” I said pulling her a little away from the crowd. “I don’t think I’ll need a ride home, I am going out to a late dinner with Brian. I think he can take me home.”

“Ok, that sounds fine, I am going to see if AJ wants to go do something. Bobbie said smiling at me. “Can you believe how close we are to them?” she added. “I would never have dreamed it could be this good.” She went off to talk to AJ.

“I need all the Backstreet Boys to come with me.” said a lady wearing a pass on her shirt and a head phone. “The fans are ready for you in the back conference room.”

“Bye” Brian said to me leaving with the rest of the guys.

“Cindy, you have some explaining to do.” Christine said to me as she, Gina and Erin all walked up to me. Bobbie quickly joined us.

Bobbie and I quickly gave them a short story about what happened. “I am just in a complete land of enchantment right now. I am still pinching myself to see if it is all real.” I told them.

“I can’t believe it either.” Christine said. “I thought Howie looked super hot in his photos, but he lookes even better in real life!”

“We are some of the luckiest girls.” I told them. “We are actually here with the BSB.”

“Ya, and it all happened because we took one mall trip to go buy clothes.” Gina said. “Isn’t the mall great!”

“Ya” I said. “I can’t wait to go shopping again.”

“How about next week?” Gina asked.

“Sounds good to me.” Erin said.

“If we had this much luck, I wonder what would happen next time?” Bobbie asked mysteriously.

“Hmm...” We all said then giggled.

“Nothing could be as lucky as meeting the Backstreet Boys.” Christine said.

I smiled. “Your right, nothing.”
