Chapter 19

“You can’t leave me!” I cried into his chest.
“I have to, baby,” he said gently. “By the way, I like your PJs!” he laughed lightly, trying to lighten the mood. My PJ’s were a tank top with a teddy bear in the middle then the bottoms were flannel pants with teddy bears all over them.
“It’s not fair!” I sobbed.
“Shhh, it’s ok,” he soothed.
“Nick! I want to come so bad! At least a week, just so we can spend more time together,” I sighed, calming down a little.
“I want you to come too! Um... I’ll talk to Donna. She can convince just about anyone to do anything!” Nick smiled a little.
“Do you think she could convince my dad to let me come?” I looked up at him.
“We’ll give it all we’ve got!” he assured. He leaned down and kissed my cheek. I leaned against him. Eventually I fell asleep. Nick fell asleep shortly after.
“Nick! Megan!” Brian called, shaking us both gently
“What? Oh, hey, Bri,” Nick opened his eyes.
“We need to start getting ready for rehearsal,” Brian said.
“Ok. Megan, wake up,” Nick said.
“Ok,” I said, opening my eyes and smiling at Nick. “Hey Brian!
“Hi Megan,” he said heading for the bathroom.
“I’m gonna go put a shirt on and then I’ll call Donna, ok” Nick kissed me on the forehead and got up.
I lay back and smiled. I loved him so much and I had barely met him! I didn’t know why but I felt so close to him already.
As soon as he got off the phone, he turned to me grinning.
“She said she’d try and convince your dad if I promised that you coming with us wouldn’t harm the group. Needless to say, I promised and gave her your hotel phone number. She’s calling right now,” Nick excitedly said.
“Ahh! This is SO cool!” I yelled.
“Hey, um, guys... I couldn’t help but overhearing and it’s great! I was just thinking, though, could we get Jessie to come? I mean to keep Megan company?” Brian said walking out of the bathroom.
“That’d be cool! Nick, call Donna back and ask!” I exclaimed. Nick called and got Donna right before she called my dad.
“She was reluctant, but she said she would put that in, too,” Nick said getting off the phone.
“YEAH!” Brian shouted. Nick and I both looked at him weirdly. “I mean, cool,” he said bushing.
“Uh huh,” Nick said before looking into my eyes. I kissed him. Gently at first then deeper and deeper into a passionate kiss.
“Ahem! Nick you have to go get ready to go, remember?” Brian said.
“Oh yeah. I’ll see you there, Megan,” Nick said softly as we broke apart.
“Bye sweety! Bye Brian!” I said leaving. Nick sighed and went to change.
