Because of Aaliyah I am an A student she influenced me so much in ways even I
couldn't have imagined. She taught me that I don't have to be anything or
anyone except who I want to be, that it's okay to stand up for yourself .
she also helped me see that life is not a bed of roses and I'm going to
stumble over a couple of thorns along the way, but if I take pride in my
beliefs I'll make. Another thing is that I'll come across a lot of people who
don't like me but if I look hard enough I'll find about 10 times more who love
me. When I found that Aaliyah was dead I figured it was just one of those
rumors running around the music industry, but even after almost 5 months I
still have trouble dealing with the fact that we will never have another album
put out by our angel. I feel bad that her mother, father, brother or
boyfriend will never get to touch, hug, kiss or talk to her again, I feel as
if I've lost my closest sister. If I win it would mean a lot to me. ([crying]
please consider me)

Although I'm only 13 I truly do love
Aaliyah, her music was my life.
A friend and I always made dances to her songs and I still do. It was so
shocking to her my favorite singer of all Aaliyah died and ended her
perfect life
and career short. I cry and still do every time I just stare at her
beautiful
posters I have. I know all here music and songs and I have all three
cd's if I
could be fan of the month it would mean so much to me I love her and
never will
forget or her music she was my role model and always will be. I love you
baby-girl.

I would first like to start off and
say that Aaliyah was a very unique
person and will be missed. I know it is very hard to say good bye but we
all
know Aaliyah is in a better place now. I always thought of Aaliyah as
being
an older sister since I don't have one because she was a very positive
role
model and that is hard to find in artist/entertainers now. To the
Haughton
family I would keep you all in prayer, and Aaliyah may God rest your
soul I
will miss you so much and you will always be in my heart.

Ever since her death i have tried to conquer my fear of singing in front
of audiences so that
I could do what I always wanted to
do,to entertain the way Aaliyah did ,to reach out and touch people
like Aaliyah did,to show that some
aren't into fame and money but just want the chance
for people to appreciate their music
and to reach out and touch and influence someone
like she did with me. Although
Aaliyah and I never met,she taught me how to dance and
sng and how to treat people with
kindness and love.I learned all these things from her by
watching,listening and copying what
she did on the T.V..This would mean so much to me if
I were selected. So please take my

I don't know what it was about
Aaliyah Dani Haughton that attracted
me to her so much. She was beautiful and had a style all her own when
she first
debuted, and thats generally hard for beginning artist to do - artist
usually
mimick other artist until they get established, but not Ms. Aaliyah. She
has
been original from day one and still contiunes to be in her own class.
Her music
is tantalizing, once you hear it your hooked. She is beautiful, smart,
goal
oriented, and down to earth. Her 3 number one priorities her - making
sure she's
happy, along with family and friends. Aaliyah is already a bright star -
but she
is now becoming the big dipper! I look forward to any and everything
Aaliyah
done and she is never a disappointment. And "I Refuse" to believe that
she is
not the number 1 singer/actress - because she is. There where many who
tried but
Aaliyah was the "Resolution" to it all. AALIYAH - is truly a ONE IN A
MILLION!!

in a fight with a girl because she said some bad things about her and I

I first will like to say that Aaliyah is taking over the music scene. So
all you wanna be's move over cause Aaliyah is back and she is here to
stay! I am Aaliyah's biggest fan because when you even have dreams(wet
ones) about her I think you are. I never had the chance to meet her like
others did but if i do I will 'rape" her. I will freak out because I
