Introduction to Fullosia

The Rockaway Park Philosophical Society was organized in 1971 and incorporated in 1977 as a nonprofit corporation. Its official philosophy is Fullosia. It was organized to celebrate life following the declaration of the French author Rene Chateau-briand as mutated by the society that philosophers know how to talk about life without knowing how to act in a dime store.

The essential doctrine of fullosia is derived from the fundamental equation : - : P +/V ~P --à XP
The society's epigram for its version of the chaos theory that sense proceeds from non-sense.

Baseball Analogy

The Society may not establish a theory of every thing. However it espouses everything American. It worships baseball as the epitome of the American balance between individualism and the team. McGwire may belt homers but the society scores with its recognition of Casey at the Bat as the national epic.

Baseball is not a foreign blood sport designed to treat the idle whims of monarchs and emperors in the decadence of their corruption , but a playing sport in which craft and sportsmanship, cunning and decorum and manly aggression and conciliation go hand in hand.

An importance difference between Philosophers and Fullosians is the baseball analogy: bragging ball players must clear fences; befuddled philosophers crash into them.

American Standard Jive

The Society counsels America to take the hint of the haughty Prince Chuck and chuck the English in favor of America jive. Complete the work of Noah Webster and Andrew Jackson. We have a new constellation in the heavens and a new tounge to wag on earth. We would avoid bilingual problems. Old cowboy jive adopted enough Spanish words to make new arrivals feel down home. Of course American Standard Jive may lead to some initial misunderstandings since there is a certain duplicity in it: We would have to explain that the Main Man could be a woman.

The Pizza Connection The Society advocates not only cultural independence but gastro intestinal liberation too. Restaurants would be required to offer an American Menu: pizza, franfurters, hamburgers and chow mein for the nationalistic minded. The Society has often said it searches for the world’s best pizza.
