Ever since Charisma Carson had received a phone call from the Florida State Police telling her that her boyfriend of three years, Brian Littrell, had been in a serious car accident, she had not left the visual by his bed since he had slipped into a coma nearly two weeks ago. For the past two weeks, all Charisma did was talk to Brian and sleep, only eating when she really needed to renourish herself from the crying and worrying about Brian.
Nick Carter came into the room with a bag of food for Charisma and slowly walked over to her side, where she sleep in the chair near Brian's bed. Nick softly shook her shoulder to wake her up. Nick and the other guys were worried that she would make herself sick if she did not get out and have some fresh air. Nick thought to himself, I won't be able to stand it, if both of my best friends end up in the hospital. Nick was the one the had introduced Brian and Charisma at his 18th birthday party. Ever since that day, the two of them were by each other’s side through thick and thin.
"Ris," Nick softly calling her by the nickname that only he and Brian were allowed to use. "Hey, Ris, wake up. I brought you something to eat."
Charisma opened her eyes to see Nick standing there and quickly got up thinking that something had happened with Brian, while she was sleeping. Charisma looked and saw that Brian was still laying there with his eyes closed and the same steady "beat" came from the heart monitor.
"Whoa, calm down, girl," Nick said to her, seeing that she practically jumped from her chair as he called her name.
"I'm sorry, Nick. I am a little jumpy," Charisma said to him.
"Okay. Well, I brought you a little food," Nick said to her showing her the brown bag that he had in his hand.
"I'm really not that hungry," Charisma said to him.
"Ris, you are gonna have to eat something," Nick said to her.
"I did. I ate a sandwich from the vending machine," Ris said halfway lying to him. She had gone down to the vending machine but had not gotten herself anything, since her stomach did not feel very good at that moment.
"Okay, I trust you. I will leave this here," Nick said to her.
"Wait, Nicky," Charisma said as he started to walk out the door after setting the food near her overnight bag. "Could you stay here for a little bit? I think I am gonna go for a walk."
"Sure, girl, take as long as you need," Nick said to her as he gave her his jacket, since the wind was making it cold outside.
"I will be back in a few minutes," Charisma said to him before leaving Brian's room with Nick sitting beside him, talking to Brian.

Charisma didn't know how long she had been walking around, but she was suddenly at the beach. The beach reminded her a lot of Brian because that was where they first kissed and even the place where they first made love. But now, he was in a hospital bed and in a coma because some stupid idiot decided to drink and drive. Charisma walked to the edge of the water before sitting down as the waves softly caressed her feet. Charisma watched as the setting sun was dancing across the water as she softly began to sing to herself.

As Charisma finished singing, she noticed that the sun had set and she was getting a chill from the wind coming off of the ocean. She decided to make the lonely walk back to the hospital, so she could continue her visual of Brian.

As Charisma got back to the hospital, Kevin was running from the parking lot and nearly knocked her over as he was entering the hospital.
"Whoa, there," Charisma said to him.
"Charisma, what are you doing out here? I thought that you would want to be the first one to tell Brian, welcome back," Kevin said to her as he stopped to catch his breath.
"What? Brian's awake?" Charisma said to him before running into the hospital.
"I thought you knew," Kevin said as he ran after her.
"No, I went out for a walk and Nick stayed to watch Brian," Charisma told him as they got onto the elevator, which took them to the 3rd floor where Brian's private room was.
Charisma ran to Brian's room before stopping in amazement at Brian sitting up and talking to Nick, Howie, and AJ, who Nick must have called along with Kevin. Charisma began to cry and made a little sobbing noise, which caused Brian to turn to her. Brian opened his arms to her before moaning slightly as she hugged his sore ribs.
"Baby, you are awake," Charisma said in between sobs. "I love you, Brian."
"I love you, too, baby," Brian said before softly kissing her after he wiped away her tears. "No more tears, baby. I am back and will be with you for a long time."
"Yeah, Bri, what made you come out of it?" Nick asked him from his seat near the window.
"The voice of an angel," Brian said looking at Charisma. Charisma looked at him strangely before remembering that she had been singing while at the beach. "An angel that will always keep and be in my heart," Brian said before softly kissing Charisma once again.
