QCHS Class '57 Alumni Association Inc

PROJECTS, PROJECTS, PROJECTS.....................

1.

September 25, 1992 - Marked the inauguration and blessing of the multi-purpose covered court constructed at the back of the Gabaldon bldg., QCHS compound and the unveiling of its marker. The construction of the multi-purpose covered court is the first major project of the Association led by its first duly elected President, Gen. Gil Domondon.

2.

Year 1997 - on the occasion of the 40th year of  Class '57, the Association came out with a souvenir program cum magazine titled BALIKTANAW highlighting the history of the Association, the various activities that the members attended such as parties, meetings,  launchings, raffle draws, project inauguration and unveiling , excursions and visits of balikbayan alumni. It also contain a directory of members. This is a joint effort of Eva Olivar Santos and Lalie Dua Garcia.

3. The Jorge and Caridad Reynoso Scholarship Program - this is a continuing program, started in 1992, and offered to the Association by Alumnus  Norman Reynoso thru the Pacific Plans.

December 1999 - Project : Molave Youth Home - Spearheaded by Mike Mariano, President, Circa 1999-2000, the officers and members of the Association distributed T-shirts and food stuffs to young  inmates detained in the Molave Youth Home in Quezon City a few days before Christmas.

Year 2000 - Class '57 Alumni donated two(2) dozens of monobloc chairs for the Alumni Center located at the QCHS compound. 

6.

Year 2001 - two units of ceiling fans were donated for the Alumni Center.

Participated as a donor in the feeding program of the QCHS under the leadership  of its School Principal, Josie Perlado.

The Jorge and Caridad Reynoso Scholarship Program thru the Pacific Plans

The QCHS Class '57 Alumni Association, Inc. offered scholarship program to graduates of the Quezon  City High  under the Jorge and Caridad Reynoso Scholarship Program. The program grants the following benefits through the Pacific Plans, Inc.

1.

Tuition fees at government-approved rate for all subjects officially prescribed by the school/college and part of the regular curriculum as  requisite for graduation; and

2. 

Standard fees duly approved by the government for registration, library, athletics, guidance and counseling, medical and dental services, audio-visual, official school publications, science laboratory and speech laboratory.

Excluded thereof and considered non-standard fees are board and lodging, material, books and supplies, breakages, uniforms, fields trips, practicum, computer-related fees, seminars, deposits, penalties, surcharges and other similar fees.

The Scholar receives the abovementioned benefits for eight (8) successive semesters provided he/she does not receive an incomplete or failing grade for any subject he/she has enrolled in. A dropped subject is considered failed.

The Scholarship is availed of over eight(8) successive semesters. If a scholar for any  reasons fail to enroll in any semester, any unused portions of  the scholarship  is transferred to another Scholar. The requirements for candidates for scholarship are as follows:

1. 

Must have studied for the 1st through the 4th years in the Quezon City High School;

2.

Must belong to the upper 20% of the graduating class, as certified by the school principal; and

3. Preferably the parent(s) is an  alumni of the QCHS.

The Scholar must enroll in a government-recognized non exclusive school and takes-up a 4-year course leading to a Bacherlor's Degree. He must be a fulltime student and must take a full load every semester for eigth(8) successive semesters.
