June 1956 - The ex-juniors were
excited with the thought of becoming senior and the head of the
entire high school. This was the top or the last ladder of secondary
education. Election came. Officers of the Student Council were elected.
Alfredo Miniano won the presidency by a unanimous vote over Jorge Topacio

New Staffers were chosen to fill up the vacant positions
in THE CAPITOL, QCHS school organ. Gloria Dumlao was Editor-in-Chief,
Ester G. Lacsamana and Ernesto Balangue were the Associate Editors.

|
The
fourth year in the secondary education was perhaps the happiest and the
luckiest of all. The class existed and survived under the administration -
of a capable and experienced woman, Mrs Conmmemoracion M. Conception, High
School Principal.

The
QCHS joined the National Secondary Press Conference held at Davao City on
February 1957. The representatives were Evangeline Olivar, Rogelio
Estrella
and Ernesto Balangue. This was the first time THE CAPITOL won in a
group sixth best in editorial writing and layout among 14 high school
which participated.

On
February 23, 1957, the exhibition day was held. It was very memorable
because the First Lady of the Land, Mrs Lus B. Magsaysay graced the event
. She opened the exhibition by cutting the ceremonial ribbons.

The
senior class of the year 1957 of the Quezon City High School was composed
of nine (9) sections, including those based in La Loma and Cubao Annexes.
A total of 364 candidates for graduation received their diplomas on
the 9th commencement exercise held on March 28, 1957 at QCHS Main
Building.
