MRS. LUZ B. MAGSAYSAY OPENS QCHS

EXHIBITS

 

 

An estimated crowd of 3000 public schools teachers, students and guest witnessed the formal opening by Mrs Luz B. Magsaysay of the two-day Potential Home Industries Exhibits and field demonstrations at the Quezon City High School. Main Building last Saturday, February 23. Assisting the first lady were Mrs. Gregorio Hernandez Jr. and Mayor Norberto S. Amoranto.

 
 

 

 

The day before, Mrs.Purification Abada, led the blessing of the newly repaired Quezon City High School Building with Father Antonio Albercht, Kamuning parish priest, officiating.

 
 

 

 

This affair marked the opening of the First Potential Home Industries Exhibits. The following schools of Quezon City participated in the Exhibition.

In Addition to the Potential Home Industries Exhibits, several projects were shown such as Languages, Social Sciences, Physics, Biology and :General Science, Handicraft, Homecoming, Wood-Working, Ceramics, Automotive and Electricity

In the afternoon of February 23 rd field demonstrations were staged consisting of the Fancy Drills, Folk dances, Modem Dances, Gymnastics, Athletic Pageant, Pyramid Building and the Balance Beam.

At  3:30 in the afternoon of February 24th , vollyball games were played by lady teachers of the QCHS and the elementary schools. This was followed by a basketball game between the Quezon City Officials and QCHS Faculty

 

 

CONDOLENCE

The Quezon City High School grieves over the loss of the nation great leaders. President Ramon Magsaysay and Secretary of Education Gregorio Hernandez Jr. whose untimely deaths shocked the whole country.

The faculty and student body of QCHS extend their heartfelt sympathy to their bereaved families.
