After 19 minutes the sky turned red and the show proper commenced. The woman reappeared in the video monatages on and off throughout the show. An unexpected cheer towards the end of the intro indicated England had just gone 1:0 up against Colombia in the World Cup! There was a 20 minute intermission between sets and the video screens continued the political rhetoric. At the start of the second set large screens descended from the roof in the centre of the arena and chimney stacks elongated from them to make a replica of Battersea power station. An inflatable pig then did a circuit of the arena. We were also buzzed by a flying refelctive orb and were showered with "Resist" confetti and lasers.
