The NJUPB is a group of Pipe and Drum bands from throughout New Jersey, comprised largely of Police Officers and Firefighters.

While NJ pipe bands have always come together when the need arose, a more formal organization was created as a result of the terror attacks of 9/11 to cover the staggering number of heroes funerals and memorial services.  Many of its members covered more than 40 services throughout NY and NJ in a three month period and, as was the case with the Port Authority Police band, some of those services being for fellow band members.

This site was originally created to keep  members from throughout the state informed of dates, times, and locations to ensure that all funerals/memorials were covered and see that all those who lost their lives while trying to save others received a proper heroes funeral.
