Planet Earth

It is one of the nine planets that travel around or orbit the sun. Everything including the sun that is in our orbit is called the Solar System. The closest object to the Earth is the moon. The moon orbits the Earth. It takes one ray of light 1.5 seconds to travel from the moon to the Earth. Earth is the only planet right now that has human life on it. It is the third planet from the sun.
