November 19, 2003:
Method Blank is scheduled to play another gig on December 18th. They've been busting their asses latley. "Too much shit has been goin' on with the band over the past couple weeks," says Wurzer, "Considering we go through a new fucken guitarist every show. It's fucken rediculous! I'm starting to get sick of these new guitarist's that seem to be the perfect guitar player with a good style." Although they go through a lot of guitar players. The bass player's have changed numeral times as well. "Right now Justin Engle, the latest bass player, has proven that he is good enough to fit in with Method Blank and play for Method Blank. He is going to miss this next show because of his recent broken bass. Mike Day is going to fill in for him. Day has always been there for us in the time we needed him." exclaims Sanchez. The last guitarist Josh Abernathy has alread been kicked out due to his slow learning abilities and continuous control over the guys of the Method. "This is mine and Kirk's fucken band. It's been me and him since the fucken beginning. This mother fucker tryed to take over the whole band. This is a band. Not a leadership band. There's a front man, a guitarist, a bassist, and a killer ass drummer. We're all musician who share respect for eachother. There's not gonna be any fuckin' Fred Durst's in this shit!" says Wurzer raising his voice. Taking place for Abernathy, will be a somewhat reminder of Aaron Bennett. He's a little dude with somewhat of a Punk rock style. Not a new Cood Charlotte whimpy bitch kiond of punk, but the good shit. "Billy came to us wanting to get the fuck out of his old band. So Kirk tryed him out. Kirk loves his style." Wurzer says. Billy fits with the Method greatly. He's very excited to be playing with the band in the next show.
Moving on to the show. The band will be playing a different selection of songs that they usually play. This time they'll be doing more covers than their own songs. Click here for the set list. This show is an indoor show. The Method is used to playing outside at field parties all that. We incourage all of you to come down and see Method Blank perfom.
Aside all the drama and hard work that Method Blank is going through, we asked Mike Wurzer about the upcoming album "Slanted To An Extent EP." "I've began writting new songs for the album. I just wasn't happy with what this album was going to be. Usually when I feel that I right. I felt that for 'The Pretext Condradiction EP.' It turned out to be a fairly decent album. But I wasn't fully happy about it. But I'm making sure that I stay focused on these songs for 'Slanted At An Extent'. I've actually changed the lyrical style of the Method. This album will be much more positive than the others. Over the years I've noticed that life is something to be greatful for. You shouldn't need to end your life to make yourself happy. Life is a gift, man. Live it with hope. THere's hope awaiting for everyone. But I didn't change the explicitness. (laughs). Sorry, dude. I can't change that. I mean we're not turning into a goody, goody band. Fuck that! I'm just aprecitaing life in this album. On the cover, there's an old woman standing beside three old trash cans that each have a six on them. Therefore it creat's the image '666'. I don't want anybody to be confused on Method Blank's faith. The truth is we frankly don't care. I myself don't belive in anything that a preacher has to say. I don't belive anything that a satanist has to say. I does'nt matter to me. I don't know about Kirk. But the old woman by the thrash cans symbolizes how much hate there is in this world. This world doesn't need to be so fucken ingnorant and mad. It's pisses me off. PEACE TO EARTH!"
