Interviewed With: Joe Paris

RTS: Thank you for taking the time to interview with us.

Joe Paris: No problem

RTS: Give us a little background of how Lither was started.

JP: Me and John have been playing together since 8th grade and that's how we became friends.
John had really inspired me to make something out of music and not just fuck around with it,
so I convinced him to start a band with me for real. We started writing songs and have been ever since.

RTS: I've heard that you used to play other instruments before you started to sing?

JP: I started out on drums and then I picked up bass and guitar, but now I sing and sample.
Sampling is cool as hell it gives me something to do other than just singing all of the time.

RTS: Does John play other instruments besides guitar?

JP: Yea, he plays bass and he picked up drums from rehearsing and trying to make sure his
guitar lines could fit well with drums.

RTS: Speaking of sampling...I heard that it's possible that you may have someone do the samples
for live shows?

JP: Yea, it's a definite possability and we have been working with someone during rehearsals if we need
someone to fill the spot.

RTS: Has Lither experiecned any lineup changes during the years?

JP: haha yea, more than I would have hoped for. First, we had to part ways with our original drummer and
we asked Paul Yurkosky to fill the spot. He was the drummer on our demo Perfect Reflections Fade. Shortly
before the release, both Paul and Marc left the band. Last moth, we had almost a complete lineup change,
but it just didn't work and John came back to the band. Right now it's just me and John. But we're working with
people in rehersal so we'll see what happens.

RTS: Why did John leave?

JP: haha, good question...You really have to ask him. I guess his priorites changed, but he's back!

RTS: Good for you! We're happy he's back!!

JP: Thanks. Me too.

RTS: I've heard that Lither has gone through many name changes too. What were some of them?

JP: Face Down, Project 1, The Project

RTS: What are the future plans for Lither?

JP: Right now, we are writing new songs and we're going to hit the studio again soon hopefully. It actually looks like
John may play the bass lines and the guitar on the recording. I would also like to start playing shows again.

RTS: Do you think John will be overwhlemed playing both bass and guitar on the recording?

JP: Hell, no

RTS: Is there anything else you want to say to your fans?

JP: I just want to thank everyone who has been helping us lately. We really appreciate it!

RTS: Nice, thanks for your time and good luck with everything in the future.

JP: Thanks.
