Mike Malinin joined the Goo Goo Dolls OFFICIALLY in 1998. It wasn't until the fall season of last year (1998), did the Goo's officially announced that Mike was now an offical Goo Goo. Although Mike is relatively new to the band, he's been playing with the Goo's for over 4 years.

Being a Goo-fan himself (Mike says that he bought the first release when it came out in '87) he's been in numerous bands that were actually covering Goo songs! Mike was born in Washinton D.C. on October 10th, 1967, and was raised in Miami, Florida. he first began to play the drums around the ages 11-12. He graduated from Ransom Everglades School in '85. Then afterwards he went on to Texas state University. Before the Goo's, Mike has been in many Texas-based bands which include BillyGoat, Cowtippers, etc.

Mike is the tallest Goo @ 6'2. Although Mike seems to talk very rarely in interviews and what not, he actually does talk a lot sometimes!
