Great Debut Album, March 20, 2003
I like this CD. It lets me know that young Sumner has talent and with a little polish, his band will rock on. My favorite tracks are Real Real and the title track. The songs are different enough for people to find something to like. I guess I should say something about the that voice. I've heard it before, back in the day. I think we know what Sting would have sounded like if he started out today.
Fiction Plane is gonna be big the next big band

"Everything Will Never Be Okay" is a title that doesn't do this awesome album justice! The titles of the songs are kinda gloomy (I wish I would die, etc.), but the songs are actually really great to listen to. The band reminds me of a mix of Pearl Jam, Depeche Mode, and the Flaming Lips all at the same time. From the first to the last track Fiction Plane comes across strong and clear-you won't want to skip a single song. A very good purchase in my book.

I try to be open to all genres of music, but I'm mostly into punk. Two weeks ago, I went to the Something Corporate & Juliana Theory show. I normally don't even make it to see the opening acts, but this time I decided to and I'm glad I did. At this concert is where I discovered the rocking new band, Fiction Plane. They've got that Brit pop/rock sound, but I really like it. They sound like a combination of Blur and Radiohead. They have great voices and sound really original (which is so rare now-a-days). I am impressed with the whole cd...so much so that I can't even pick a favorite. But "Everything will never be o.k." is my new favorite CD. Check 'em out.

From the instantly-memorable opening track 'Listen to my babe', to the hidden track at the end, this is one of those albums that just sounds better and better with each listen.
Brilliant, atmospheric guitars, intelligent lyrics, a great voice, and tight playing, all combine to produce one of the best debut-albums in recent memory.

This is truly one of the best CD's I've ever purchased. The band has a great sound and powerful lyrics. Joe's voice is similar to Sting's, but he is going to make a name for himself on his own. Definitely give this CD a listen.
