Someone To Hold Me Tonight

**Chapter 21;Tell Me This Isn't Happening...**

******Chapter 21; TELL ME THIS ISN'T HAPPENING****** As I and everyone else in the room looked in the door way to see how was acting like such a moron, screaming my name a running down the hallway, I felt like crawling underneath the covers and staying there until that person went away. “LAUREN!” I looked to see that it was my younger brother. He had run past the room, but I guess saw me, cuz when he tried to run back, he slipped and fell. As he got up, his face was beat red..I felt bad, but it was really funny, so I started laughing. About five seconds later, my Mom and Dad walked into the room as well. “Oh no,” I sighed. Whenever my parents and brother were there when my friends, and especially Greg was there, they ALWAYS found someway to embarrass me. “Hi baby!” my Mom said as she entered the room. “Hey Mom,” I replied quietly. She looked around to see the whole “crew” there. “Well..it’s really packed in here!” she commented. Everyone was looking at me, and could tell that I didn’t want my parents there. I mean, I love them and everything, but they can just get really annoying at times. So just to amuse them, I put on a fake smile, and everyone else in the room saw it but them. I saw my Mom holding a bag, and knew that I wouldn’t like what she was going to do with whatever was IN the bag.

“What’s in the bag?” Greg asked curiously. Since he was sitting next to the bed, I elbowed him in the arm. “Oww!” he said quietly as he looked at me, and saw that I didn’t want to know what was in the bag. My parents didn’t notice. “Nevermind, you can show us later or something,” he said, quickly, but it was too late. In the bag, was my baby picture album. “Your Dad and I were looking through a bunch of cabinets and drawers last night, and we stumbled across your baby album! We thought that it was so adorable and we thought that you wouldn’t really mind seeing it again!” my Mom said enthusiastically as she opened it up. Since I was practically strapped into the bed, I couldn’t get out and grab the book from her. Of course, everyone wanted to see the pictures, and EVERYONE crowded around my Mom to look at the album. “Awww,” Nik, Sara, Cori and Larissa said in unison. “That’s so cute!” Cori exclaimed. I just sat in the bed, and I could tell how red my face was. “Mooooom,” I whined. “Can you PLEASE not do this NOW?” I exclaimed. “Oh but sweetie you were so cu-“ she tried to say, but I cut her off. “Mom, no one wants to see my baby pictures!” I repeated. “Yes we do!” Chris exclaimed, smiling. “Chris!” I snapped. Everyone started laughing. “Mom…PLEASE,” I pleaded. After about 10 minutes, she gave up, and they kissed me goodbye and said that they would call me later tonight. “Shoot me now!” I sighed sarcastically as I threw my arms in the air. “But you were so cute!” Frankie and Greg said as they each walked over to me and pinched my cheeks. “Haha..no” I laughed. “Sorry Laur, but you gotta admit, that was really funny,” Larissa said trying to keep a straight face. “Oh..sorry I guess I must have missed the funny part!” I replied. “And I know where all of you live, so I could just you know, come by and have YOUR mother’s show me your baby picture albums!” I said with a devilish grin on my face. That shut everyone up. “Well…I think we’d better get going, bye babe!” Jesse said as he walked over to me and gave me a quick hug. Everyone did that as they walked out the door. “BYE!” The girls screamed as they each blew me a kiss. I just sat there and laughed. Everyone had left; I was alone in my hospital room for the first time. I looked at the clock and it read 11:30pm.

I had started to drift of to sleep when I heard someone enter the room. Without opening my eyes, I tried to listen to see who the person was. “Screw that idea,” I thought to myself as I slowly opened my eyes. I looked to my right to see Greg sitting in the chair. “I thought you left with the guys?” I said quietly. “No, I had just gone to the bathroom,” Greg replied. I looked at the clock and it read 11:40pm. “For 10 minutes!?!” I exclaimed curiously. “I got lost,” he said quietly as he started to blush a little. “Oh my God,” I sighed as I started to laugh a little. “I umm..I asked the doctor when you could be let out of the hospital,” he said slowly. “And…?” I said as I kept my eyes fixated on him, waiting for a response. “Well..he said that you seemed pretty much okay and I already asked your parents, and he said that if there was a problem that you would have to call them,” Greg said slowly. “Okay…” I said, still waiting for the answer. “I signed you out, and you can leave tonight, I called a cab and the doctor and your parents said that it would be okay if you stayed at my house tonight and came with me to rehearsal tomorrow,” he said. “Hold up..my parents AGREED to that?” I asked him in shock. My parents had NEVER let me to anything like this before. “Yeah,” he said smiling. “Aight, let’s go!” I replied as I slowly got up as he brought my crutches over. “You gotta leave for a sec so I can change okay?” “Okay, I’ll see you in a minute, I’ll tell the doctor that we’re leaving,” he said as he walked out of the room, and shut the door quietly behind him. My parents had, along with the album, brought me extra clothes. I slowly changed, got on my crutches and made my way to the front desk where Greg and the doctor were waiting for me. “Just sign this,” the doctor said as he shoved a piece of paper in my face. I signed and he gave me the usual lecture. If you ever feel something is wrong, call the hostpital..blah blah blah. I made my way to the taxi as Greg told the cab driver to go to Long Island. He looked at us like we were insane. “My parents know about this..right?” I said, wanting to be reassured. “Yes,” he said smiling at me. “Okay,” I said, a little more satisfied. I leaned over and put my head on his shoulder and drifted off to sleep. The next thing I knew, we had pulled up to his house, and Mrs. Raposo was already waiting for us by the doorway.
