The History

Formed by classmates Sean Selby and Errick Weiner in 1996, Dilemma has gone through some changes over the years. After Errick left, Sean continued to write songs and released several demos solo. The response was fantastic and after a few stints with some local Philadelphia bands, Sean stuck with the name Dilemma and began to release Cd's...

2003 was a terrific year for Dilemma. “Backfire” was released in April as the first actual Dilemma album. It received many good reviews, pleasing many. From the opening track, "Failure" to the harsh and very personal song "Backfire", (a song dedicated to a friend's ex), the album features some jamming riffs and pretty angry lyrics.

Topping "Backfire", Dilemma released “Kill The Rage” later in 2003. The Dropped C tuning, thrashing cymbals and deep bass added a different feel to each song. “Somber” is the opening cut, which takes you on a twisting, turning ride that begins as a soothing, calming sound, crashing into a heavy riff before changing back again. The album as a whole does this, keeping the listeners on edge. "Part(ner) Of Me" is a loud rampaging tune climaxing into a thrashing chorus which eventually erupts into a riff that will make you bang your head through a wall.

In June of 2004, “Moving On” was released. From the opening to the end, the listener is taken through episodes of rage, guilt, arrogance, but in the end you get the sense of closure, and warmth. The main message throughout the album was to show the world that no matter how much one is kicked around, he or she should still stand tall.

In March of 2005, Dilemma released "What Remains Beside". The support and the feedback from the album was nothing short of specatular. From a political statement, ("Bunrning Bush") to a personal vendetta with someone, ("In Denial") help make this an extremely solid album.

Later in 2005, Sean took his solo act to the stage performing a few shows, each receiving a very overwhelming positive response.

In March of 2006, "Shattered" was released to an overwhelming response. From songs "Ghost", and "Blood On The Wall", the album was embraced in a great way, selling the most copies of any Dilemma album to date. Heading into 2007, Sean plans to begin recording on another album, and hopes to keep the adrenaline flowing...
