About Us

Who is in the Maynard Community Band?

The Maynard Community Band provides an outlet for musicians of various ages, abilities, and backgrounds to come together to play great music! Our band members come from the town of Maynard as well as other surrounding towns such as Acton, Stow, Marlboro, and from away as Billerica and Burlington.

 

What type of music does the Maynard Community Band play?

The Maynard Community Band plays a wide variety of songs. Our selections include waltzes (Old Timers Waltz), marches (Stars and Stripes Forever, Hall of Fame March), polkas (Beer Barrel Polka), latin songs (Begin the Beguine), and patriotic songs (America the Beautiful, American Patrol). For this concert season the band has been rehearsing a number of show tunes that will be performed at upcoming concerts! Selections include "The Sound of Music," "Phantom of the Opera," The Wizard of Oz," and many more!

 

Where does the Maynard Community Band rehearse?

The Maynard Community Band rehearses throughout the year at Concord Street Circle Senior Center in Maynard. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7-9PM. Find out how YOU can join the Maynard Community Band.

 

Where does the Maynard Community Band play?

The Maynard Community Band performs a number of concerts throughout the year. During the summer the Maynard Community Band provides FREE outdoor concerts throughout the town of Maynard. Locations include Maynard's Memorial Park and the 3 senior homes in Maynard: Concord Street Circle, PowderMill Circle, and Summerhill Glen.

We have also played at the Maynard Fest (October), the Farmers Market (summer/fall), the annual Christmas Pops Concert, as well as at parties and class reunions. Check out our upcoming concert schedule for dates, times, and locations!
