A popular mod for Fatboys prior to 2003 is to retrofit to a
150 size rear tire, replacing the stock size 130.
Yes you can fit one in without all this, but these simple mods will
make it fit better and center things up, without having the tire
slammed all the way to the extreme left. Basically what the intent of
this mod is to install a slightly longer spacer, remove a small amount
of material from the caliper, which in turn shifts-moves the wheel to
the right more towards the center of the fender.
Part needed:
HD Fat Tire Spacer, part # 41519-00
Part for machining: Rear brake caliper
Brake fluid
Russell SpeedBleeders (optional, but well worth the minimal cost)
Take the rear caliper completely off, and have it machined
professionally to the tolerances in the picture:
