It was the merge of two bands that were less than good to make this force known as BroKeN become itself. A local band named Falling Down The Stairs was formed as a three member band. Maslar and Hughes were involved in thisband. Practice was quick, the words were great, the music ok, but it was lacking the one thing needed to make it. As this band was struggling to get things together, a band broke up, which left drummer Matt Washkuch free to look for a new band. The loss of interest in another band left guitarist/singer Jaim open for a new hope. This hope led him to Matt, and they jammed. This jammin led to a band named Wide Awake Nightmare. It last a month. Then, in a force that shifted the earth, Falling Down The Stairs called it a band, and broke up. With that, Maslar, Hughes, Jaim, and Wash were standing (with the exceptiong of Wash, after all, he is the drummer) in Wash's basement staring each other down, waiting for the smashing sound of a cymbal to lead them into Metal and onto a path that nobody knew where it led. Named FallinG NightmarE, they played and wrote. But that soon faded... and they crushed that nightmare. What emerged from that nightmare was what they were... BroKeN. Then, these four, as BroKeN, wrote and out came the inner feelings, and guitar riffs, bass lines, and drum beats that forced the raw emotion into the faces of the masses that viewed. With the dream of music in their eyes and hearts, and skills to change the sound of music... BroKeN now proves that some nightmares do become dreams.
