To Band Geek, or Not to Band Geek

To band geek, or not to band geek, that is the question!

Whether 'tis nobler to play in the pit or with a piccolo,

Whether to be a drum major or a major in drums,

'Tis a great problem upon my chest. O holy reed,

grant me the ideals of the bandgeekism, so the I may hold

tight to its law and the light of the band room windows.

Allow our marching band to be the pride of all, and to seize

the trophy that is rightfully ours. To be a part of the miraculous

wonder of bandgeekism would be a divine vision from our

director; our freedom to roam the halls of school freely during

an all-day practice. Please, holy reed! Grant this serenity of

bandgeekism to allow me to become one of them!
