Marissa Capito -Guitar/ Vocal

Plays: Black  Ibanez GRx20

Musical Influences:Tool of course, because their music very original from anything mainstream. They are doing something different, and succeed in giving people something actually meaningful to listen to.They're s passionate about what they do, and their music and lyrics cover a broad range of subjects so its not like you're listening to the same topic over and over again.I aslo really admire street musicians actually. It seems like they get out there and just perform for people not for money but just put some interest into someones day. They play to play, maybe some are out there to make it big, but there's a lot of variety in what they do.

My favorite thing about music is when you listen to a song and you just....connect. Everything about that song conveys everything you feel and it just enters you and makes a lasting impression. Its comforting because it  brings everyone together, in a manner of speaking. The person that wrote it was feeling the same way that you were and someone else feels the same way and so on. I think people really need to start looking at music not just as a way to make money or to look good or be in the spotlight or whatever. They should try to actually listen to the song, try to understand it, or look beyond the obvious. I think the music industry has somewhat corrupted that in a way because so many people are trying to be superstars. Its hard these days to find music that is really from the heart and the soul of the person who creates it.
