Musical Influence: My main musical influence at the moment would have to be Tool. The depth and beauty that they create inspires me to do positive and creative things, and to bypass the triviality and materialism that is so common these days. I am also inspired by other bands that have journeyed off the beaten path, such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, King Crimson and artists like Peter Gabriel, Tori Amos, and Joni Mitchell. Vocally some of my roll models are Maynard James Keenan, Robert Plant, Serj Tankian, Trent Reznor and Tori Amos.
*****
Music is a vessel to achieve alternative thinking, to expand, to discover, to create, to love, to live, to see, to revel, to hate, to expand. To change. The experience of being totally engulfed in a different perspective is such a potent thread of awareness (in a time where the value of awareness seems to have been forgotten). People need to stop looking at the musicians, at the image and recognizable faces that "rock stars" sell to the masses and start listening. Artists need to create from the soul - true expressions of/from themselves- and stop utilizing the industry merely as a means of making a profit.
