I thought I'd make a seperate page for songfic. Since I know a lot of people don't really like it, they can just skip this entire section instead of hunting through random stories. And hey, if you don't like it, just sort of...skip the song. That's what I usually end up doing if I don't know the song in question. ||If I Were Brave (PG-13)|| I wrote this a long time ago, before the guys had even gone on their second tour or hinted about breaking up. Prepare for super-angst. Darren is off on his own, rambling through New Orleans, and trying to shake the feeling that something just isn't right. Song: "If I Were Brave," by Shawn Colvin ||Dizzy (PG-13)|| Sequel to "If I Were Brave," this one takes Daniel's point of view and wraps things up all gooshy and fun. More super-angst. Also written before (WAY before) the breakup. Go me. Song: "Dizzy," by the Goo Goo Dolls ||Speed of the Sound of Loneliness (G)|| Daniel picks up everything and goes after Darren. Just a random, very short fic that takes place in a diner. Not really a songfic, but it's got lyrics at the beginning. Not very slashy, but it takes place during Christmas. Assuming this is supposed to make up for something. Yeah. Song: "Speed of the Sound of Loneliness," Alabama 3 ||A Happy New Year (PG-13)|| Darren mopes around the house during New Year's Eve without Daniel, and makes some New Years resolutions. Another not-songfic that has lyrics at the beginning. Slightly sappy. Song: "Happy New Year," from RENT. |
