The indoor winterguard program is performed to recorded music or live music and features only visual equipment. This equipment includes flags, rifles, sabres, and various props and colorful elements. The equipment is combined with many elements of drill, body movement, and dance. The result is an emotional and visual portrayal of the music. Winterguard programs use music chosen from all types of music including classical, alternative rock, spoken words or even silence. The winterguard activity constantly pushes visual arts to new heights of creativity.

The Seminole High School Winterguard program is comprised of 19 girls ranging in age from 14 to 18. Most girls were in the fall marching guard but some instrumentalists have decided to try and tackle the challege of winterguard. The show is being performed to music by Leonard Bernstein's "On The Town" and an excerpt from "Housework," a monologue by Carol Channing. The colorguard will be participating in the Florida Federation Circuit shows, as well as the Tampa, Jacksonville, and Miami WGI regionals. The colorguard hopes to finish the season by traveling to Dayton, Ohio to participate in the Winterguard International Finals competition.
