The day before the Widespread Panic Bataclan show I had been at their gig at the Paradiso in Amsterdam. Dirk Stalnecker, Panic's tour manager, confided that the Paris pre-sale had not been great & asked if I could phone up some friends to come down to the show. The band happily put them on the guestlist, just to add a few more bodies to the 1400-capacity venue. I called Marti at home in Paris & she hit the phones, calling everyone we knew. A bunch of them showed up at the Bataclan concert, which turned out to be an outstanding show.
